The Ravens didn’t have Henry, and the Bills are much improved compared to last year. The outcome could have been very different this season.
I watch a lot of games, and this year felt like the perfect opportunity for either the Bills or the Ravens to take down the Chiefs. It’s honestly a miracle the Chiefs secured home-field advantage. From a coaching standpoint, this might be one of the greatest seasons ever by a coach. They just found ways to win. This Chiefs team is by no means a dominant juggernaut—they’re not. They’re just better than other teams at winning, largely thanks to their defense.
We saw how much the Chiefs struggled offensively throughout the year. If they manage to beat the Ravens or Bills on the road again this season, it would be one of the most shocking playoff moments since 28-3.
Ultimately, I think these teams are very evenly matched. The line between winning and losing is razor-thin. The Bills had the personnel to beat the Chiefs, but unfortunately, they lacked the mental toughness and clutch factor. Maybe the outcome would’ve been different if the game had been played in Buffalo with that wild home crowd and likely bad weather. A stronger running team generally performs better at home in those conditions.
