A big factor this matchup is Snead. Shutdown corners can make some QB's uncharacteristically very erratic.
The only time Snead was beat was that insane play by Josh Allen and Shakir to put that dot in the end zone. You can't really bank on a big play like that two weeks in a row. They need to be able to make sure they can win going in other directions.
One thing that really impressed me about the Chiefs defense yesterday is nothing was open downfield and especially nothing was open downfield in time. That Chiefs defense stayed disciplined on the intermediate and deep passing game. The only thing deep they gave up was the 65 yard pass attempt. The Bills were dinking and dunking, but it's not easy to win like that.
Like someone else said Ravens going to have to really run the ball, which means they're going to be taking some hits. Unlike the Packers and Bills this weekend though, they need to make sure they finish those drives with touchdowns or those hits will not be worth it. I can see this game being very physical. Looks like it's raining there this weekend too.
Something to note, the Time of Possession from yesterday's game:
Chiefs: 22:57
Buffalo: 37:03
Clock control isn't just having the ball longer.
Effective clock control is knowing you can eat clock and drive long or you can strike fast.
All Buffalo could do yesterday was dink and dunk leading to time-spending drives. All the Dolphins could do was show them they can strike fast.
Baltimore needs to show the Chiefs they can play both games.
Passes may not be open deep at any point in the game, but that's when Lamar needs to take off and get a lot of yards like they were deep throws.
If not, Chiefs are going to control the game and most likely win playing right into Dr. Robotnik's hands.
