if you dont play a sport, cardio has little bearing on your overall success in improving aesthetics

will you have higher endurance? yes. stronger heart? yes. less fat? unlikely

if you lift and focus on progression and maintain a steady deficit, youll lose pure fat and keep what muscle you have

the less bodyfat you have the more likely you are to burn muscle while in a deficit(cardio, dietary or BOTH)

cardio for fatloss is a myth perpetuated since the 70s. due to people involved in athletics doing it, "common sense" would have you believe thats the way to get their body

question is were they ever flabby? ever?

^^^OP should ask yourself that, as well as many others who see these "eat clean, do hiit, etc etc routine"

egg whites
wheat toasts
fruit water
turkey bacon

lunch: is salad, turkey or chicken on wheat
fruit, veggies, water

dinner is schicken, salmon, veggies, water etc

snacks is fruit, tuna and crackers, veggies etc greek yogurt

Cut out breakfast, replace snacks with a casein shake, take a full diet break every 6 weeks, cut back on cardio, do some maintenance lifting

:what: why would you cut out breakfast? Breakfast can and should be your biggest meal. You're body just went 6-9 hours with out food or water, you should eat. If you're gonna do a cheat day eating its best to do it early in the day instead of at night in the evening

Ive been going w/o breakfast for years. I have done 30 mile bike rides w/no breakfast. You dont need breakfast.

In a diet empty calories are the enemy. As is feelings of hunger. Breakfast has a much bigger insulin response than other meals because of the timing- so it makes you hungry again not too long after you eat it. And dude's breakfast has zero nutritional value. It might not be for dude but I say he tries it for like a month... just replace breakfast w/a cup of coffee to start (preferably black... get some cheap insta-shyt and make it at home)... if he doesn't like it or it doesn't work, cool but at least then he can speak on it w/authority

And I done told yall nikkas bout the full diet break about 30 times now.

Based on medical fact or traditional wisdom?

Based on results from clinical trails. So yea medical scientific fact

You do realize that there are studies to the contrary?

Bottom line is that there isn't a right answer, people should do what works for them.

cortisol spikes its highest right after you wake up, technically no matter how much you eat for breakfast...youll still be hungry :jawalrus:

so no, hes actually right(atleast in terms of cutting)

eating 2 large satisfying meals is alot more feasible for most people than eating 5-7 bird sized meals

With the limited information you gave it seems normal. But you need to give more info - how much did you weigh/do you weigh, how much weight did you lose, what is "eating right" exactly, etc.

I weighed 168 in mid August, now I weigh 10 pounds less, that's w/ me on and off dieting(however I've been consistent for the past 2-3 weeks).

My usual meals:
Breakfast: Oats(occasionally w/ peanut butter in the oatmeal) or Multi-Grain Cheerios w/ Almond Milk

Lunch: Vegetables w/ quinoa or pasta; tofu w/ veggies and quinoa, baked fish w/ veggies and quinoa and beans, and a peanut butter sandwich(wheat bread) or a turkey/chicken deli sandwich(wheat) w/ lettuce/cheese/mayo

Dinner: Basically the same as lunch

Sprinters don't lift upperbody weights. I have an international class sprinter friend and he only ever squats and deadlifts. Everything else is bodyweight.

If you do cardio make sure you incorporate some sprints in your routine. You work out everything. Core tight, biceps pumping etc.

There are Millions of sprinters in the world. In this statement you only know ONE who is your friend, and because of that you can justify saying no sprinter does upper body work with weights...........http://static.fjcdn.com/gifs/fukk+this+I+m+outta+here.+Best+invention+ever_d51f15_3209144.gif

Doing too much cardio will make you lose fat and muscle. As a man tho you should try to keep muscle. 15 minutes or cardio and 45- 1 hour of lifting should work out.

Usain Bolt and yohann blake do upper body exercises. Those are the world's two fastest men.

No offense, but that's simply not true. I once lost 40lbs in 2 1/2 months from running 5 miles(1100 burn cals) on the elliptical alone.:yeshrug:. Went from 28 bf to 18 bf.
