Explain to me the willingness to give our govt. which has hit record lows across the board in public approval more money? and explain the contempt for those of us that distrust and believe we should starve the beast until it becomes a govt. worth supporting? The public distrust the government... some anti tax sentiment seems natural.
I couldn't imagine giving a raise to an employee with the track record/approval rating our govt. has, yet that's exactly what many of you wish would happen...
All this harping on government fails to mention that government approval is so low because it's bought by rich people. If the government passed something like this it means that the rich's stranglehold on it is no more and it's working more for the common person than the rich elite.

No argument there... my point is anyone suggesting the public hand over more money to a government the public completely distrust must expect legitimate resistance... and shouldn’t be shocked or offended by the resistance.
Suggesting we raise taxes without policies in place to uplift black people comes across as we need more money to increase disparities, fund illegal wars, support Israel and destabilize brown countries.

It's not too high for income overall 10m, but it also isn't going to spur the economy anything special. This should be priority # 2160 in the list of priorities . But it's meat for the socialists, I would much prefer closing corporate and high income loopholes to first generate more taxes and see where your levels are at that point

Employment is down because most jobs are being filled or converted to part time labor which I already posted about and there is absolutely no indication that wages are going to increase substantially or income inequality is going to decrease. That's not even talking about environmental destruction.
