My Pops Forever RIP
They did.
The ratings were beyond trash.
That was the first time I remember seeing Adrian Wojnarowski have NBA segments. Awkward as fukk when he was there.

Sports Jeopardy was the best thing they had on that channel. That and A10/CAA college hoops.

They might as well use USA/CNBC/SYFY for sports related stuff. NBC outside of the Olympics just could never get enough content to justify having the network stand alone.

CBSSN might go the same route, though they stay having good ass under the radar college hoops

They were never known for anything. At least Premiere League us to death and make that your staple. Maybe get a small MLB package-set of games for the summer months and put some money behind their Tour De France broadcast and go from there. And I know its hard to compete with Sportcenter but I still don't get why either Fox Sports or NBCSports won't try out a highlight show just for the hell of it. It doesn't cost much to produce at all. If it doesn't catch on so be it.. No big deal as it cost nothing to make anyways

They'd have to pay for some name brand personalities to drive traffic to the show like they did with Undisputed. ESPN has that on lock.

It doesn't help that ESPN is in more households and has a better online presence on things like YouTube.

Isn't the PL on Peacock Premium? Tight I had to miss the two biggest derbies(Liverpool-Man Untd & Manchester Derby) because that shyt was on Peacock.:birdman:
I posted on the football thread how furious it was that I had to pirate the derby. Just put Fulham v Sheffield on there and call it a day.

If I were a nhl fan I would be tight
Ehhh, I only watch NBCSN for the live hockey. All the pre-game and post-game stuff is an after thought to me. Now I want to see how (or if) USA is going to transition from L&O:SVU/NCIS/Modern Family reruns to showing live sports. I think they can do it, but they need to committ to a plan and not show "Random Game of the Week".

So this how they gonna force people to migrate, the Olympics is gonna bee venom more of a headache on nbc now:francis:

The coverage on the app for the Rio Olympics was so heavenly. :ohhh: :ohlawd: Everything was available and live.
Now it'll all be behind a paywall and those who won't pay have to sit through all the stupid "stories" and will be at the mercy of what they think is more mainstream to be live, what is to be tape-delayed, and what gets buried on the app. :francis:

where will they move the local bulls games I wonder :ohhh:

from the article
This will not impact the NBC Sports regional networks, which include NBC Sports Boston, NBC Sports Philadelphia, NBC Sports Washington, NBC Sports Chicago, NBC Sports Bay Area and NBC Sports Pacific Northwest. These regional sports networks operate as a separate business from NBC Sports Network.
