It's a stupid idea. part of winning MVP is to hoist that trophy in front of your home crowd before a big playoff game.

I would've love to have seen Russy with his MVP trophy going into a series.

I think the awards should be handed out after the regular season before the playoffs.

Yeah this is to much. Season has been over and still no announcement yet. Have the All Defensive teams even been announced yet? And if not why not when the All NBA teams have been announced.

I believe that there should be a week or 2 hiatus between the regular season and the playoffs, and during that hiatus they should do this award show.

The hiatus between the regular season and the playoffs makes sense too because players that are banged up also can get a chance to recover a bit and it should overall improve the quality of the playoffs
