More excessive bullshyt, brehs. That time is perfect for a lot of reasons.

First, we get to see the players show love and respect to each other, even if some of it is just going through motions. Been a tradition for years, man. The fukk is wrong with it?

Then you got the fact that it's the perfect time for TV to rundown storylines of the game, drop some quick stats, and even allow everyone to soak up the hot crowd for big games as they hype up the arena.

fukk this bullshyt :childplease:

No, it's the more affluent fans who are making the most noise about the players. Those are the fans that Stern and the owners listen to the most.

And I'll say again, just because the league is profitable doesn't mean it's not dealing with image problems. Major League Baseball has significant image problems right now and that league makes more money than the NBA.

the league has no image problems, and affluent fans are the ones who love entertainment the most so miss me with the bullshyt u trying to kick up.

the marbury/iverson/vc/t-mac era was a era clouded by image problems, this era is grade school compared to back then.

I would tell u that u actin like a bytch but i'ma give u one more go round.

The NBA does have image problems. They're making money but the image problems persist. Just look at the way "average" fans talk about NBA players. Whenever people talk about why they don't watch the NBA it always boils down to the perception of players.

:beli:

who gives a shyt about the "average" fan...I forgot

its seems like thats the issue imo

fukking MLB contracts are by far the most insane in American sports but MLB players aren't viewed as negatively as NBA players for the most part (even with all the steroid scandals).

Some of that is due to how the sports are promoted. The NBA has been promoting it's stars more than anything since the Magic/Bird era. MLB on the other hand uses its LOOOOONG tradition as a promotional tool rather than hype up stars.

so they should crack down on baseball players doing it before & during games, too?

because that's regarded as cool & ESPN celebrates it all the time with reels showing it.
