That would be correct. However, nobody ever seriously recruited him after his freshman year in HS, as it was pretty obvious he wasn't going to college. The whole thing about him going to Ohio State was some shyt made up by Nike around the time Thad Matta had resurrected the program ('06-'07). He couldn't say he was going to Louisville because they're an adidas school. Jim O'Brien was under investigation for NCAA violations and eventually fired at the time that Lebron would've been starting college. Not to mention the team was terrible at the time. No way he would've ended up there.

There really is no college to mention, there was an article s couple weeks back from right before Game 1 of the Finals that retold the story of how Bron wound up on the Oakland Soldiers AAU team. They were quoting coaches in that story that said they were just watching Bron to be in awe of him because they knew he was never going to college, and this was as a HS soph. Bron didnt take college visits or nothing, he was getting hooked up with so much shyt he would have never made it past the NCAA anyway.

Breh. I gave you an article with a direct quote from Lebron during his first week in the NBA. Those OSU quotes didn't start up until a few years later. Either way, him being a Buckeye fan don't mean shyt. D'Angelo Russell's a Louisville fan and went to Ohio State. Players don't automatically go to the school they're fans of.

Regardless, it's not like Lebron was ever gonna see a college campus any way.

Yup, the Slam magazine article after his sophomore year was when I got hip to him. Everybody already knew what the deal was with Bron and that college was never going to enter the picture.

Breh, its most def Nike. I went to high school with Rondo and when he had a deal with them, Nike used to make him wear Kentucky shyt during March Madness and attend one UK sporting event a year. Dude fukkin hates Kentucky. He only went there because his old high school coach pushed him there after Pitino pretty much brushed him off to focus on recruiting Telfair. Rajon even trains at Louisville's practice facility every summer and mentors the players. But when he was at Nike he had to play it up in the media like he was a loyal Kentucky fan. shyt is business.

When did Lebron start coming out and proclaiming to be a Kentucky fan? When Cal got there. What do Cal and Lebron have in common? A strong business relationship with Worldwide Wes (Same with Drake, Jay-Z and practically everyone else that suddenly became a Kentucky fan a few years ago).
