ESPN Doesn’t care about the halftime show. They only give them five minutes, while TNT gives like 10-12.

Maybe it's because I'm actively avoiding it but like @FAH1223 says there are about 90 seconds of actual ESPN half time show and the rest is all commercials.
I don't know if it's because they have a whole post game show, or they run less commercial or it's because Ernie, Kenny and Chuck are just better than ESPN crew but Inside the NBA is much more relaxed, have enough time to joke around/talk about donuts and still get their point across. Meanwhile on ESPN everyone is rushing to get their lines out

ESPN and it's basketball coverage is just odd, at this point they're just paying for the NBA rights to keep away from other networks rather than providing a good product.
They completely killed NBA Tonight that actually provided highlights and breakdown analysis for The Jump that's nothing but gossip and storylines.
Had no idea they're still paying Bruce Bowen, Scottie Pippen, and Antonio Davis as NBA Analysts since they never use them, but have Matt Barnes on more

Ssshhhiiiiddd, 5 minutes is a stretch. More like they get 2 minutes to say something ("they need to play better Defense", " I want to see *insert star player here* to insert himself and get buckets"),
And then finish off with a Jalen rap reference and they go to 8 minutes of commericals
