I can give them a pass on MNF because they fukked around and let them give them dud games for most the weeks... so i can understand being cheap on that

but with the NBA they have the championship every single year, that's 4 half times plus all the other half times throughout the season and playoffs. stop being cheap as fukk.

:stopitslime:

Disney way too cheap and "safe" tho which always gonna lead so something subpar or boring.

It’s crazy. They’re paying $1.4 billion a year for the NBA and can’t even do the bare minimum.

Turner is paying $1.2 billion and they have double duty of maintaining the NBA website, NBA TV and doing their thing on TNT.

It’s just laziness.

It’s going to be funny with the NHL next season. They’re going to have intermission shows that is 5 minutes with 15 minutes of commercials.

TNT will actually devote to having content for hockey analysis.

problem with ABC is they work them to death.

i have no doubt that Jalen is getting paid, but they got this man on almost as many shows as SAS. i doubt if his wife didn't also work there that Jalen would keep up that schedule.

they need to learn how to just cut the check and let their talent be. but it's disney they scared of all that.

if they stopped trying to have SAS in the grave by the time he is 70, they'd make the first smart move.

put him on the show permanently. get him with Jalen and then find some other former star who is entertaining.

then stop trying to squeeze in scott van pelt highlights or whatever other extra sporstcenter shyt and just treat it like an NBA show.

get someone good to do the rundown of the game before/other games. you good.

but ESPN is cheap as fukk. so the product will remain subpar.

Money is running tight right now at ESPN that’s why they’re spreading whatever talent they have thin. Legit giving their employees more job duties, while also asking to take a paycut at the same time :mjlol:

For the record, I think they finally realized and given up now on trying to compete with TNT commentary. So they’d pivoted towards doing the bare minimum and focus the rest of the time on ad revenue.

So y’all don’t like c00n as Jalen Rose now?
You have Jalen c00n Rose and Jay c00n Williams who are both “good” guys that are scared to say anything negative about players.

Norfeast groovin…
I only watch that network for games but it’s clear their business model is to bombard viewers with ads and hot takes/gossip.

Like someone else said, it feels more like they’re just trying to play keep away with the rights to show the NBA. It’s prolly other networks that would do the game more justice. It’s why I’d prefer to see the league spread itself out.

It’s just really when you compare to the TNT crew and they’re trying to make it better but it looks forced
