I read the 2k article and seen the pictures but I didn't watch the video(I'm at work). Sounds like you expect a completely different game (or at least myplayer) every year and that's not realistic.
I honestly don't think it's a bad nickname I think they should keep it rather than try to change it to something dumb like that orange juice shyt. Or maybe just let you pick a nickname. I rather them focus on improving gameplay than changing little thing like that and it seems like that's what they've done this year.
No. I don't expect a completely different game. I expect what they put out. But I also don't think it's worth the full price that they charge every year. Imagine them releasing God of War every year with the same assets re-arranged and then they ask you for full price. It's ridiculous. And you wouldn't buy it. And yes, I know, you don't HAVE to buy 2K. But you kinda do if you want to play a basketball game. I wouldn't utter a word if there were 3 or 4 games for you to chose from. At that point, if you want to buy the same game for full price after you see that they didn't change much, then that's on you because you have options. That's not the case here. If you have most of the gameplay in place already, then you should have a bunch of time to go heavy on the fine details. And they don't do that.

Yeah but that's the point I was making. Imagine them allowing you to create a fighter for a story mode in Street Fighter and his nickname is FG for Fighter Guy. It's just lazy as hell. Then they use it 2 years in a row. It's like they couldn't even bother to come up with a name like they did in years prior. Again, the game is FULL PRICE. I'm not mentioning any of this if the game had a $20 price tag.
