Well. After reading more into what the woman was saying. I agree with her. But overall I still don't think the black woman meant to be disrespectful she was just dressing up as Pocahontas. Societies have always learned, borrowed & celebrated other cultures; some more than others. It is inevitable with globalization and multiculturalism that people will be attracted to different elements. Yes, a person is well within their right to feel slighted by any interpretation they feel debases said culture. However, those willing to dish must in turn be accepting of criticism received; which is where the Juelzing starts. I myself admittedly am/have been prone to this. This is one reason as to why I don't fully embrace 'cultural appropriation'. Appropriation is only derived if there's better reception relative to the originators; regardless of its authenticity.

The efforts used to shaming should be diverted to celebrating THE SOURCE & imitators so long as proper respect is due. Unless the woman in OP is Native American, it doesn't matter who I/You/We use to justify, divert to, the claim of appropriation has been laid on her!
