taking a serious approach to this i know some people at school whos mixed black and native. its totally possible the black girl in the op could have native blood too, i dont think the naive am woman really took that into account before going on that spree
That would actually make it worse.

Pocahontas is a popular historical/literary figure that gets imitated a lot. Not the strongest example if "cultural appropriation".

By the way, I really hate that term now. I knew it was gonna get out of hand by the overly PC crowd.

Exactly!
These redskins chopped off your ancestors scalps back then, yet you want to claim heritage?
We came from AFRIKA! Never be ashamed about it.

I see how she showcased the whitest most diluted "Natives" though.

:mjpls:

I peeped that!

Try a different browser :jbhmm:

I do see the irony of the handclap tweet in this thread's context though

Twitter is awful

This. The black chick was wrong. But you can't use black slang and all that jazz and then be talmbout "keep your hands off of my culture!

Stuff like this makes real movements seem petty. Culture appropriation is when someone knowingly takes from your culture disrespects it and profits from it. Not a girl playing dress up

Riiight. Honestly. How is the black woman profiting? By looking cute? Come on, cultural appropriation is a systemic phenomenon, not an individual one.
