She found one Black girl on the internet dressing like that and she went completely off.

A lot of Mexicans have Native American blood, but Native Americans don't have White blood so there's a difference there. This channel is good at braking down various races and ethnicities around the world:

Mexicans have more Native blood than most modern day Native Americans. Many modern Native Americans look like the girl complaining in the OP, Jacoby Ellsbury, or Sam Bradford.

This dude is Mexican and clearly of predominant indigenous descent.

The black woman is a rapper, not a random.

North American indigenous is not the same as South American indigenous. Also there are hundreds of tribes. That is why some indigenous people in Mexico look totally different from indigenous people in the US or other countries in the Americas.

Indigenous people are usually treated like trash from mixed raced indigenous people and white people. That is why many indigenous people in South American countries will claim distant white or Spanish blood. They are looked down on and the lighter skinned ones or mixed raced are placed on a pedestal.

And yes there were blacks in the Americas before slavery. Many blacks are indigenous but there are different types of indigenous people.

I swear nikkas be all over the damn place:snoop:

I've did enough reading and digging up pics over the years to know that some of the groups of people that were native to the Americas were black but they were not African.

They were most likely black Polynesians and other southeast Asian negrito types, maybe Melanesian, and Australoid aborigine type blacks. Basically blacks from around the pacific and Indian oceans. A person stating this has absolutely Jack shyt to do with Africa, African Americans, or the Atlantic slave trade. Those people were not us. Although if these people were the natives that cacs enslaved first and they stayed enslaved long enough to intertwine with our African ancestors and I see no reason for a cac to separate them. I could see them mixing that would be the only way these people would have anything to do with us.

I do believe that Africans were coming to the Americas hundreds of years before cacs though.

And as for the "native" girl in the op, she's basically a cac. She's not even full Siberian/north Asian type native.

I understand the Natives have gone through total bullshyt, even to this day, and Cheyenne wants to protect her culture. I get that.

My question is, why call out a random Black girl? Why not call out the companies producing those offensive costumes? I'm quite sure there is a shyt ton of offensive anti-Native rhetoric that is being posted on Twitter right now that'll go undetected.

Also, I highly doubt Omeretta hates her Blackness. Jeez, why can't we enjoy ourselves without always being critiqued, criticized, and judged?

I just feel Cheyenne came out unnecessarily nasty and didn't speak about Afro-Indigenous people until after others started to call her out.

Anyway, this shyt is old news and like most social media outrage, has been forgotten about after the damage has been done.
I've seen native Americans get at anybody that is using their culture wrong. It's just that you really don't see it if you aren't looking for it

There was another female twitter user that pulled up native Africans with a very similar style of dress. Feathers and fringe. :lolbron:

But I do get her overall point.

She should.

You're Black not Native. Be Proud of being Black.
This is my thought as well

Couldn't really care less, but she didn't say anything wrong except to stop wearing that fake shyt and sexualizing their culture especially if you not one.

But black chick could be native though so :yeshrug:

:comeon: she was a feather wench...

Pocahontas was captured by the English during Anglo-Indian hostilities in 1613, and held for ransom. During her captivity, she converted to Christianity and took the name Rebecca. When the opportunity arose for her to return to her people, she chose to remain with the English. In April 1614, she married tobacco planter John Rolfe, and in January 1615, bore their son, Thomas Rolfe.
That's just cuz she was a victim of Stockholm syndrome, MK Ultra brainwashing and #pizzagate :skip:

:manny:

Need more folks who are blacks to be proud of being black.

Also how many of us has that auntie who claims to "have a little Indian in here". What is black women's obsession with having "some Indian" in them? This shyt reeks of it.

I keep seeing people saying she could be native as if that makes it better. It just makes her a c00n. Like a Mexican wearing a Cinco de Mayo poncho, mustache and sombrero costume or a black man with an Afro wig and bone nose and George of the Jungle costume.

That costume didn't look authentic at all.
