I take back my previous posts. I just kicked it with my homie who does studio engineering and he told me that a Droog is 100% definitely Nas. Apparently Nas has a plan to release 4 albums that are a mix of old (as in Illmatic era) and new rhymes with no promotion on some love for hiphop shyt. They're documenting social media reactions and recording interviews with other artists to create a mini-documentary about it all, and the difference between the albums artists wish they could put out and the albums they end up delivering due to label politics. This shyt is actually a fascinating project.

I'm Russian and Droog does in fact mean friend in Russian and when I saw the name that's the first thing that came to my mind
I thought nas was throwing Russian in his name to make it more cryptic

But I mean y'all seen Arian spears or w/e ole boys name is do rapper impressions
One of my boys who was the best rapper in our neighborhood, he'd kill every cypher but we could never pull him off the corner to get in the studio. I swear dude had the talent to get a deal, just wasn't him
He just wanna stand on the corner Rollin up some purp and freestyling and he's happy
AnywAy not only did he have his own style but he could rap JUST like jada(voice lyrics everything ) and just like 50 and just like Wayne and a few other rappers. So ya I don't think this is nas even tho they are really similar, it's diff enough that I can say it's not him

the voice sounds like it's been filtered. This doesn't sound like someone's natural voice. shyt sounds just like Nas with the pitch turned down

Edit: After listening to gunsmoke cologne though :ohhh: this def isn't nas, this definitely sounds like a cac's voice. Also the fact he isn't saying "nikka" leads me to believe it's a cac
