ahhhhh Nas's Def Jam era... How I loathe and are also intrigued by this focal point in his career.

Untitled has that aura like it was scaled back from its monumental impact it was supposed/hyped up to have. Songs such as the following one should have never been left off the album:

Association-Nas feat. Stic Man (No DJ) - YouTube

I think this will be an album that will be appreciated in hindsight.

[The song with Chris Brown was trash!]

Was gonna post this cut. This Nas album STAY in rotation

How many of y'all renamed the album ******? :smugdraper:

This thread may make me revisit the album. Never really gave the album a genuine listen and I'm a huge NaS fan. :rudy: at myself. I always felt mixed about what I heard, though. My expectations were too high and I was on my A&R bullshyt so I was ultimately disappointed with the album.

Loved Queens Get the Money, You Can't Stop Us Now, Hero, America (unreleased version), Sly Fox, and Testify.

No matter what, I'll probably always think he left some gold off this album. Should've been a blend with The ****** Tape. Cops Keep Firing >>> :ooh:

Man, I've had this conversation with people so many times over. I feel like a lot of people just didn't get it. I really appreciate the album even more knowing the climate (politically/financially/etc) it was released in. It was an intense time in this country.

I didn't think the song with Chris Brown was bad at all. Pretty dope actually. I'm convinced 98% of this forum can't dance.

Breathe, Queens get the Money, and Hero are my top songs, but I'm feeling Black President more on the Green Lantern Mixtape than on the album. Nas does it again. Life is Good coming July 17th :win:
