I remember listening to this on an IPOD on a flight to NYC, my first time, the day after it was released. I think I waited til I was on the flight to even hear the album.

Saw The Dark Knight in Union Square opening night, it was a dope and iconic summer. End times, before the Recession.

Was running back Untitled and Testify around the time I was at the protests in May.

When gas prices were $5.15 per gallon and I had to walk everywhere cause I was too broke to afford gas and insurance :damn:

When 1 hit wonder dance crazes were all on the radio, with non lyrical content :snoop:

When Lil Wayne was considered the greatest ever when those 90s babies never heard of a Hov or Nas album. :smh:

When Obama was campaigning against McCain and had every last person in America on their seats. :whew:

When "The Dark Knight" had sold out shows 11:15 am on a Monday morning.

Nas "Untitled" held me down when Summer 2008 was at its most unpredictable moments.

Amazing album, not in my top 5 of Nas but one of his most important albums. This plus the nikka tape plus Distant Relatives was an insane era for Nas that firmly GOATed him for me.

If this was kind of more like the Nikka tape, and didn't have the Chris Brown joint on it - it might have been my favorite Nas album, period.

and its funny cuz if u talk to a lot of people thats the era he "fell off". 08-2013 was some of his best work ever imo

It was a good album. I just wished that songs like "Association" and "Legendary" made the album. "Proclamation", "I Don't Wanna Be Right" and "Colors" were others. "Who Are You" is another one. Although recorded for HHID, "You Mean The World To Me" fit Untitled more. "Letter To The King" would've fit Nas's album moreso than Game's and would've been the perfect closer. Then again "World Is A Ghetto" is another Nas song that found its way onto a Game album. It was recorded for HHID, but would've been at home on Untitled. "I'm On" was given to Khaled, but would've made a dope single. "Let's Go Esco" is another banger left off.
