I dont even think its fair to call Nas lazy at this point...u have no basis for that argument..ur not in his camp and hes been consistant in the game for 20 years and is involved with too much shyt ESPECIALLY at this point to call him lazy...and that nikka Jay Elec been droppin Act 2 since 07..

I still don't get the lazy part. Dude is not just a rapper. He is a businessman and he handles business. It takes time to write good material. If NaS is lazy then the rest of the game needs to be lazy too because Nas's rhymes are the best in the game (past or present) BY FAR AND IT AIN'T EVEN CLOSE; and y'all know 99% of of the game is terrible.

More rappers need to be raiding Dilla's vault. Real talk. Yes this was from "Donuts" so it's about 8 years old but NaS brought a different energy to the beat. No lie. It feels so fresh. Dilla is such a timeless artist. I have that "Dilla Love Japan" joint. I want NaS or Hov to rap over this beat so bad:

I called Nas lazy sure, but who said jay elec wasn't? nikka Literally been dropping act II since Christmas 2008 lol

Lol breh.. how exactly is Nas lazy? No statistical basis for this obviously but I'd venture to say he's penned the most verses in all of hip hop, if we're including unreleased material. I've been trying to put together dude's discography for years now and still be coming across joints I've never heard...

Nash lazy?? Smh I've had a dude in Nash camp tell me a few years ago that his catalogue of unreleased songs is so deep he could release a lost tapes for the next 20 years.Said when he locks in during album time he goes in.He also said a lot of the stuff he holds on to be some next level type stuff that he feels people just wouldn't get.

Decent track but Nasir needs beats to match the lyrics.

What Nas does all day is attend meetings pertaining to his several businesses, spends time with his family (children) & friends, he may have dinner at his sports bar in Hollywood or he might charter a plan to take a mini vacation. He has way more interesting ventures than "getting high all day." Of course he is able to do this with leisure when he not on one of his successful tours.

Question: How are the very people that made the accusation of "ghost writing" so perked up and making this a diss song about them? Nas respects all & fears none...he has love for his haters/enemies.

P.S. Peter had nothing at all to do with Nas making "The Season" because Nas has a very ambitious management team (EMAGEN) that is extremely savy/wise.

there's only some songs where Nas isn't in the pocket...it's def not the majority tho...ive tested this by putting his acapella's over other beats and they fit perfectly...but it is true..it all depends on the production he gets as well...his flow gives that feeling he's off beat even when he's not sometimes cause of the rhyme patterns he chooses...

Half of gods stepson is offbeat. Just saying.

nas was off beat in that oldschool rapper on a newschool track way which is like being one and a half seconds ahead of the track but that shyt never bothered me. It's like seeing your pops move stiff on the court but he still droppin buckets so you proud

Except the beat is 8 years old and produced by a the backpackers version of 'Pac.

Nas should handle this track readily. To be fair, he did for like 85% of it.
