One of the most fascinating unheard songs in Nas vault to me is the title track for Death of Escobar, where he kills off the Escobar persona. I love when Nas does crazy conceptual tracks like that and it sounds like it woulda been a great companion piece to Rise & Fall.

I want to hear all. As Def Jam recordings but those Sony vaults have to be insane. Back then he was probably deeper into the streets stuff and the content probably shows.

I wonder if Nas ever finished Colors. In the snippet, there is a bad edit in there that makes it seems like it cut a verse and jumped to the end.

Were there sample clearance problems with the Be A ****** Too track?

There was another version of Be a ****** Too that was on the ****** Tape. Was that the original or a studio remix? Which was the first version?

The version of the proclamation with the music... if that an DJ creation or the original, unreleased version?

These songs ended up on Nas mixtapes but there has not been an official Nas mixtape since. It’s a good chance there won’t be anymore Nas mixtapes. I prefer lost tapes instead

Add Colors, Who are you, Be a ****** too and the Proclamation, then make the fear and Cops keep firing bonus tracks then the ****** album is even tighter.

Proclamation was real. It played during the beginning of the Be A ****** Too video

The version of Be A ****** Too on the ****** Tape is the remix.

Saw Nas for the first time in concert last night for Essence. Dude killed but homie really do be forgetting lines lol

Saw a bunch of clips was the crowd into it?
Seemed like my guy didn't get his usual
response from a performance.
