I just seen on Pete Rocks insta that he said he hasn't worked with Nas in almost 20 years tho :wtf:

Pete said in an interview around 2008 with Allhiphop that Nas hadn’t spoken to him in 13 years. He was asked about the rumor that he slept with Carmen and he said emphatically that he never did and that he didn’t know her and that Nas would be crazy to believe that.

A few years later they worked on the songs for Lost Tapes 2 and Pete was on twitter going crazy saying that Nas sounded like “41st Side & Vernon” Nas

Nas fans should remember number 7 on the tracklist. Die hard fans have heard it... produced by Eric Hudson

I have this song on my computer. Ha!

I think Pete was talking about actually releasing material...not in reference to working with him.

Speaking Kelis tho, nygga Nas dropped his case against her last week. Dude really has a big heart cuz we all know Kelis would have jailed him.

No public thanks to Nas either by her. Smh
fukk her for being such a bytch.

I do feel Nas was a sucker for investing/believing/trusting her so much in the first place.

This is what Nas thought of some of the songs on Lost Tapes. Some nikkas like Nas and Dre probably got volumes of classic shyt they don't want to let people hear.

Nas: I wanted people to hear ’em in the proper way. I had so many songs lying around that are weird that I wouldn’t want anybody to hear—I [was] embarrassed.

:ohhh::ohhh::ohhh::ohhh::ohhh:

that production tracklist :wow: :wow:

looking like an album of the year off the strength already
I'm not trying to be a downer but my thing is I don't expect this to really sound like an album, since the songs are likely from a pretty large time period, and I think it'll sound more like a mixtape. I do expect the quality of the individual songs to be very high but Lost Tapes had a cohesiveness that in hindsight is pretty fukking crazy. It sounds tighter than any of his albums besides Illmatic IMO, and I just don't expect anything like that especially with this many tracks and this many different producers.

I can't wait for it though.

I can understand not wanting Pharrell (who is a good producer but I can see his style not mixing with Nas) and Swizz, but why don't you want Rza? You really think he ain't gonna bring his A-Game working with Nas?
No doubt. RZA did fall off but the shyt he did for Dark Fantasy was dope and even the joint he had on Watch the Throne was dope and would've been doper if Kanye didn't autotune the Nina Simone sample.

Dj Scratch produced Echo
:ohhh:Word?
