Pete Rock and Nas recorded specifically for this project. This was like back when the petition was started in 2009/2010.

RZA was mentioned as one of the producers Nas was working with on his new album. This was last year.

Swizz and Nas have been working together since 2012. They have an album's worth of material in addition to new material.

Hip Hop became the A&R over Nas's new album during a meeting ALC's house. So that song could be from 2015/2016.

I’m super curious and maybe some big Nas fans that have been more in tune with him during the 2010’s like @Ziggiy can help me.

I’m wondering what era/s the tracks produced by Pete, RZA, and Alchemist are from. I can’t wait to hear Nas over Pete and RZA.

Has Nas ever rapped over RZA besides Verbal Intercourse and his feature on The W album?

Pete hasn’t produced anything for Nas since Illmatic, right? I know Alc recorded a lot with Nas from 2001-2005 but not much since then and didn’t think he’d done anything with Nas in the 2010’s, and he released some of his last Nas stuff in 2014. Could it be since then?

Also have Statik and Nas ever worked together before? I wanna say no.

The Pete Rock tracks are actually new tracks that were recorded specifically for Lost Tapes 2 around 2011. They were to be included on the Def Jam LT2 before Nas and Def Jam had a falling out.

The RZA produced tracks, from guessing (using Nas interviews from around the period) are from around 2013-15. These are beats that RZA sent Nas for the Life Is Good followup that never materialized. RZA said that Nas and a few other rappers of note came to his crib and he basically gave Nas about 50 beats.

Nas has not officially rapped over RZA production thats not Verbal Intercourse or Let My nikkas Live.

Statik Selectah and Nas have worked together before. They had a song slated to appear on Life Is Good but it didn’t make the cut due to sample clearences.

Here we fukking go brehs.

Statik confriming that he did the beat in the snippet, and he also tagged it in Hawaii. More than likely this was a track he did for Kanye during the Hawaii sessions for MBDTF. RZA and Q-Tip were there around that time too, working with Nas on stuff.

2 things.

1. The album is called Lost Tapes, which implies old shyt on it.

2. Just curious, does it sound that much different than what Statik Selektah produces now? I don't hate the dude at all but he's always struck me as a slightly watered down version of DJ Premier and Pete Rock mixed together.
