Hopefully they delete all of Camels verses, he’s wanted to be on every last one of Nas classics, we don’t need goofy Jay on there at all.

@Jack Trippa 3z company ho be trippin but I have to agree with him on this. No jay z on the Lost tapes for me.

Anyway, I figure if Nas is going to use Def Jam tracks it going to be all on one album and not spread across other future volumes in order to get totally out of bed with them. We will never fully figure this shyt out and and we will never get all of the lost tapes. There could be 6-7 volumes and there will be one or us, maybe me, complaining about not getting something.

If he has some songs with Jay Z in the stash, there's a possibility of at least one of those making it. I could see Nas axing Jay off of "The Scientist" and the Swizz joint because those were added after the fact. If a Jay verse makes Lost Tapes, it would probably be a song Nas and Jay created together and not where the verse was added later.

I agree with that. However, usually projects like this are meant to be a cash grab which means the record company wants a max profit for little investment. Old session that were already paid for, little to no sampling and no features would be the perfect scenario for a record company IMO. Even though he hasn’t put them out in years. The Lost Tapes seems to be something that Nas holds dearly. He evens says it’s a movement. You think he would put Jay on it? And, they have to pay for features. You think Nas and Mass Appeal would be willing to pay Jay for an old feature on a project that would do just as well without Jay? Jay’s fee for a feature ain’t cheap. I wouldn’t pay him. I’d keep the lost tapes as my own project and go it alone if I was Nas. I personally don’t think he paying Jay or anyone on a feature for a compilation.

I don't know how they are handling the business side of things, but I don't see them holding back on this one. I say that because he was treating this like an album. He actually had a session years back with Pete Rock for Lost Tapes. Nas is also unpredictable. He does a lot of things that make no sense to us, but it does to him. The fact that a Lost Tapes exists and it is some of his best material (and even better than the songs on the albums they were intended for) makes no sense to me.

I think I asked this before. Does anyone know anything about the unreleased snippet “Da Don”? Where is it from? Nas was spitting fire.
