Seriously though, what is wrong with you weirdoes? Y'all can't care that much what these blogs and websites filled with white boys say about the project where y'all literally post random Twitter opinions on the album.:hhh: I understand, y'all want y'all favorite artist to get the respect, admiration, adulation, and attention that y'all think he deserves. But y'all have to understand Nas maybe gets the most respect out of anyone ever in rap. The most admiration out of everyone. From Denzel Washington to Jennifer Lopez to Carmelo Anthony to J Cole to Waka Flocka to Lupe Fiasco to Ghostface Killah to Leonardo DiCaprio to Alicia Keys to Drake to LeBron James to Common to Juicy J, all of these different type of people in some way form or fashion has said Nas is the greatest or right up there with the greatest to ever do it. And I can go on and on. On the same day Nas dropped his album you have Jay-Z saying he feels like the 94 Nas, you have Eminem saying don't compare me to these new rappers, compare me to Nas. What else do you weirdoes want? Y'all really care about random Twitter followers and blog sites:francis:

I don't like this beat more than QB Politics but I do like it more than the other one.

Assuming you aren't being facetious, the answer is Flee Lord picked a better beat. :yeshrug:

People hear beats they don't like from producers and sometimes forget the rapper had to choose the beat and rap over it. :manny:

I think it's significantly better than both Pete contributions to LT2. But you're right. It's likely on Nas being the directionless, uninspired has been he is to pick better beats, write better raps and make better songs. Sorry couldn't help myself.

Dap and rep. i think this has to do with Nas beating Hov but Hov still being seen as a media darling (when that aint even entirely true if you look at all the bad press Tidal and MCHG got). They want the media to view and Love Nas like they do Hov when Nas has NEVER been a mainstream media darling. And thats NEVER gonna change especially in regards to those two. Again...I knew since IWW how it would go for Nas as far as reviews go (i just reread Vibe’s review of IWW and...wow smh). And on the otherside, you have people that maybe just dont genuinely rock with it like his other joints which is understandable...it shoudnt mean they arent “real nas fans” smh

I WILL say to be fair that Nas was “kind of” a media darling during the Stillmatic-Lost Tapes OG-Gods Son era. If you read MOST of the reviews from around that time and press he was getting was mostly positive. Gods Son, and I Can in particular was met with almost universal praise for Nas showing “growth” and “maturity”.

This is on point. I also think in the eyes of casual listeners that Jay is considered to have a more consistent discography despite Nas making the best album between either of them. I actually agree with that sentiment. They’re both two of my top 5 favorite emcees and in many ways I wonder if they’d be compared as closely if not for Takeover and Ether, etc. Because In many ways they’re very different emcees.

Nas is more of an enigma to me. I mean Jay is a weird dude too and he’s deeper than his detractors think, as well as more musically inclined. And I think Jay is more introverted than people think, but Nas seems even more introverted than Jay does.

I’ve heard a lot of Jay stories over the years from friends in the industry, but even people I know that have worked with Nas either have less to say, or they agree that he’s a bit harder to read or figure out. He’s not MF DOOM level private, but for this reason alone I agree he was never destined to be a media darling the way Jay was.

Did songs with Chubb Rock to Chris Brown, switch styles
Yet to see any heavyweight make it to this round
This that pure champion sound, I wear the crizzown
Raw, one take, I don't even need a mixdown
Demure, not docile, volatile, I kick down
Amphibians, reptiles that make that hiss sound
They eyes change color, their pupils start to slit down
When I take cover, and I let off a fifth round

Nah he worked with Kanye and Kanye is currently isn't a favorite amongst the music business because of the Trump shyt. Most of these outlets are Anti Trump and Nas just so happened to receive that extra backlash because of the association. Especially when these cats are bringing up irrelevant shyt that has nothing to do with his music(Like the Kelis accusations of him beating her)
