Listened to Nasir today and Not For Radio goes super hard in the car and that beat is fire to me. Cops shot the kid is a solid record and I can listen sometimes. White label feels rushed and its missing something. Bonjour fire, everything - incredible record, Adam and Eve - super fire. Simple things a dope record, just short

Salaam Remi's 2-3 albums worth of Nas music? I don't know guys. Glad to hear that there is work there but I have some minor reservations. Salaam's work with Nas is hit or miss for me. Its a crap shoot. I know the God's rhymes will be tight but I hated "The N". Loved the "Legendary" track though. If he had 10 legit, out of the 2-3 albums, I'd be happy.

I don’t think it exists. It only was heard during the listening party that streamed.

The version without Diddy doesn’t dramatically change the song at all. Its the same beat, same lyrics, just without Diddy’s intro and Outro

Some of his just don't wanna hear his annoying ass all on the records

I would've arranged Cop Shot the Kid differently. I would've saved the Slick rick sample just for the hook and not kicked it throughout the entire song. Oh, and I would've kept Kanye off of it. The two possible great Nas songs that Kanye messed up (see Still Dreamin').

If I was Nas, I wouldn't have features on my best shyt. Just me so don't flame me but features would help fillers more. The strongest tracks should stand on their own. Like DMX on Life is What you Make it is perfect. Ok song... DMX made it better but Nas focused on two or three tight verses on Still Dreamin would've been classic.

Kanye’s verse is arguably better than Nas’ verse on Cops shot the kid.

I agree entirely with that, I love moments of Illmatic, but the rettrospective hustler of IWW and the retrospective man/artist of The Lost Tapes always spoke to me more, increasingly as the years go by, faster. I kind of put Illmatic in a different spot, so iconic it isn't even in the discussion really.

My favorite Nas was the one who wrote Drunk By Myself, Nothing Lasts Forever, and Watch Dem nikkas, in the 96-2000 years. The Escobar persona mixed with the struggles of his real and imagined life.

I was listening to recently and still noticing shyt Nas said til this day. Its complex. I really believe Nas was too clever and waaay too NY on IWW. It was brilliantly done no doubt but because it was so technical, so NY (slang) and complex, it missed a lot of your average fans. I think Nas was better, lyrically on IWW than Illmatic but the combination of slang, Mafioso themes and highly complex rhymes was just too much.

I think kanye did his thing on both of those songs. Kanye and nas have great records together. Some people are so unaware and follow after each other saying nas shouldn't work with kanye again. They have classic records.

Kanye can still bring some heat with his beats but Kanye, lyrically doesn’t do anything for me. He says nothing I want to hear. Nothing inspiring, nothing intelligent or thought provoking, nothing where he is even trying to spit knowledge. Well his ghost writers don’t so I don’t want to hear him. I’m from the south side of Chicago just like Kanye and we are around the same age and Nas still says 100% more street and knowledge shyt
