I don’t think y’all listen to Nas to say Nasir is better than any of his previous albums like Nastradamus

Life I chose
Project Windows
Come & Get Me
Family
Some of Us...
Last Words
You Owe Me(yep)

Edit- God Love Us

I enjoy these records even still in 2018 and more than any song on Nasir

There no way I could in good conscience put this album over I Am. I think people forget what songs were actually on I Am. There's single songs on that better than this whole project. Lol

I am is dope but also uneven in the middle. You can literally HEAR the filler on I Am because of the whole bootlegging fiasco.

Yeah... I enjoy those tracks too.

I judge each project as they were packaged. The 7 best songs on Nastradamus or Street's Disciple are better than Nasir. But as a whole, each of these albums are rated about the same.

Illmatic (it's the greatest rap album ever. Nas' gift and his curse because every album is unfairly scrutinized by comparison)
Stillmatic (the album that push him into legendary status, and push forward his longevity when prior he was on the verge of fading away)
Lost Tapes (which reminds me, I am waiting for J. Cole's lost tapes with all the unreleased joints he got.)
God Son (I very much enjoy this album... it felt like it was riding the wave of Stillmatic and Lost Tapes)
Distant Relatives (I am shocked how other rated so low. Out of all the team up albums, especially of different genres, I feel this was the best... Patience alone is one of the dopest songs I've ever heard)
It Was Written (very dope commercial album... I knocked it down a few points for it trying to wave ride with what was popular of that time)
Nasir (I feel it's his most cohesive album since Illmatic or at least the only one other than Illmatic that didn't have fillers. Plus, at this point of his career, I enjoy him just doing him)
Life is Good (Even though there's some great songs on his, I feel it's one of his most overrated albums due to a lot of inconsistent joints)
Untitled (I view this album the same as Life is Good, some great songs but in-cohesive)
I AM (I blame a lot of the bootlegging to which led to the lost tapes as to why a lot of the stuff was discarded and we for this mostly bland album with a few of his greatest songs of his career)
Street Disciple (not as bad as most people claim. But this album was bogged down to a lot of mediocracy)
Nastradamus (people without thinking usually label it as his worst album. I beg to differ because it was then being compared from Illmatic to I AM. Now with a near 20 years later, and so many albums... it should be reassessed. It is still a bland album, and it's understandable in context of what he was going through during that period, but it's not his worst)
Hip Hop is Dead (this was pure trash... the only two cool joints was Black Republicans which felt more like a Jay-Z album, and that joint with Chrisette Michelle. But the rest was terrible and confusing at times).
