I be surprised how some are into this type, others into another type, and them same fans love some of the same types too of his style. He makes music for all flavors. Perfect example. Some people love cherry wine. I hate that fukking song. Lol

I'm trying to think...has there ever been a better SURPRISE random rap album release? My mind is blanking right. I'm not talking albums that were announced a week in advance. 1-4 day type drops.

Amazing intro, Amazing outro, and everything in between is dope.

I was pleasantly surprised by Kamikaze, but you said "better" so no, can't think of anything.

When this album came out, I wasn't in a good state of mind and Nas captured everything I was feeling. Hearing "Speechless" for the first time and having Nas say that he doesn't know what's going on anymore hit me in the gut. This was a raw, Illmatic-style album full of ego and arrogance, and it came out at the beginning of winter. I'll always associate it with the cold and the sun going down before 5:00.
