If KD3 Is even better or at same level, the output of KD 1,2,3 and Magic honestly better than most rapper’s entire discography. The idea Nas catalogue is weak (which was BS prior to this run) will be a terrible argument when his late career run this good

Between Nas & Jay-Z discographies based on the first half of their careers I would give Jay the edge. This is coming from a guy who thinks Jay-Z is severely overrated. Nas had a few duds like Nastradamus, God's Disciple, & God's Son but ever since 2006, I be damned not to compare the albums dropped between the two and say that Nas has has better albums. Kingdom Come was pure trash and Hip-Hop is dead could have been better imo.

Idk what the deal is with Jay only dropping 1 project in the last 5 years and Nas putting out like 4 joints within 4 yrs (3 of them within 1yr½). Even Em has put out like 4 different albums in that time.

Nas having a weak catalog was always bogus. To someone who was a casual fan, it was easy to push that narrative because Nas normally took two years between albums prior to Nastradamus. When he dropped Nastradamus and it was a disappointment and he hadn't had an album in nearly two years before Jay dropped the "one hot album every two year" line, it was easy to push the "Nas fell off" narrative. People didn't really look at it as he dropped two classics and a dope album BEFORE Nastradamus. They just looked at his most recent album at the time and ran with the narrative. Of course Nas debunked all that with that Stillmatic-Lost Tapes-God's Son trifecta.

No it is not.. that shyt is sub-par at best! I was listening to a few cut joints from that album on YouTube and them joints and would have made the album better than it was.

The tides been turning online lately. On YouTube even the classic Jigga warriors are openly giving Nas props and wondering why Jay is taking so long. It even seems like nobody was REALLY drinking that “God Did” verse koolaid like that.

Jay-z always had good marketing around him to promote him as some god tier artist that cant drop duds. It was a cool verse but when u saw the online talkin heads exaggerating it that turned me off to the song
