I thought about this thread the other day re-listening to God’s son

Nggas was up in arms when I said let’s pump the brakes calling Magic one of Nas’ best. It wasn’t a disss to the album , it was credit to Nas. If cats are og Nas fan it’s bc of the depth and emotional levels he goes. And current Nas can never in a million years reach those levels again. No rapper could. You can’t replicate his mom dying, going at it with jay, being counted out, etc.

So yea these albums are dope, but even a slightly lesser produced prime Nas album is gonna last longer bc the content is so rich. Ie There’s no way in a million years he can recreate Dance that song is worth 3,4 ‘hot’ songs ….but so called Nas fans after a week say Magic is top 5

I really dont wan to seem like I dislike the album…but my goodness. The recency bias in this thread is actually disrespectful to Nas’ discography. Relax!
