NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Couldn't find the article, closest I found is some Wu stans (and I say that as a stan myself) talking about it back in '06: Nas contradicts himself

I remember the quote exactly, he was asked about 50 Cent's success with Get Rich...(before their little beef popped off) and said "50 Cent is hardcore, he's not on no songs with Christina Aguilera".

I know some of y'all remember but Nas was DIFFERENT for like a good year, he was going at EVERYBODY. What changed him was his mom dying, before that God's Son was supposed to be a concept album going at the entire industry. He changed it up last second and bushed all the disses.
Yea. I wish we could’ve gotten those songs I remember him even speaking on it and saying Eminem of all people told him to chill. Lol

He thought that Questlove was the Chinese Food delivery guy. He saw Quest walking through the studio with the food and gave him $20, told him keep the change and took the food out of Quest’s hands and walked away.

Quest said he framed that $20 and put it on his wall
Yea he still felt a way like Nas should’ve known who he was type shyt. Lol. I’m like nikka u ain’t Black Thought. U a drummer. Can’t stand that muthafukka. Lol

I like how Nas last two albums sounds perfect for when it dropped

KD2 is the perfect summer album and Magic is a darker winter album

Whats crazy is I can see myself bumping Magic well into the summer. In my opinion this is Nas’s best “Car Riding” album since Nasir. I LOVED bumping Nasir in the whip.

He had a similar run-in with Bone thugs and felt disrespected because they didn't know who he was in a hotel elevator. Can't seem to find the story but it was basically an article with him hating on various people.

I think it was on his blog. He talked about a LOT of the L’s he took earlier in his career running around with famous people. I remember him talking about he thought he had a shot with Alicia Keys and she politely curved him lol

At some point mainstream America decided his opinion on hip hop was authoritative and that always kind of bugged me.

Honestly I'm fine with that because I'd rather have Questlove providing hip hop authority to the masses than...Peter Rosenberg. Because the fear to me has always been you get to a point where suddenly you've got white authoritative figures hopping out the woods in x years saying Eminem was the most influential rapper of the 00s, for instance.

:russ:

Imagine an early 00's Em from in the media, hearing the original shyt and reacting like

:unimpressed::dwillhuh::merchant::picard:

Breh... You gotta chill you can't put this out :whoa:

Having him turn into one of the skits from on his own albums on Nas shyt. That would have been great. :wow:

Nas got three singles for Stillmatic, Gods Son, and Streets Disciple

Stillmatic- Rule, Got Yourself A Gun, One Mic

Gods Son- Made You Look, I Can, Thugs Mansion

Streets Disciple- Thief’s Theme, Bridging The Gap, Moment Of Silence

He also got three for It Was Written and Four for Illmatic

IWW- If I Ruled The World, Street Dreams, Street Dreams Remix

Illmatic- Halftime, It Hard To Tell, The World Is Yours, One Love

The ONLY reason he didn’t get three for I Am is because they shifted the marketing strategy to Nastradamus. So Nas really got “four” singles those album cycles

I Am- Nas Is Like, Hate Me Now

Nastradamus- Title track. Owe Me

Technically 3 for Illmatic. The Halftime single and video was originally from the Zebrahead Soundtrack a couple of years prior to Illmatic.
