Ft. Stewart, Ga
Street dreams /Street dreams remix actually counts as one single...The Message was the third single
Thugs Mansion was a single for 2Pac's Better days album...godson other single was Get Down

They used Nas’s version for the video and credited both albums which would make it a single for Nas as well.

And I don’t see how Street Dreams Remix doesn’t count when its entirely new verses and beat.

Singles format allows for different versions and remixes to be marketed/released together with the album track.
like Hot Boys by Missy Elliot released as a single with 6+ alternate versions including the Hot Boys remix ft Eve, Nas, lil mo n Qtip
Its still credited and certified as one single coz of the 'root track/ album track'

As for the thugz mansion Nas gets credit as his verse was used but it does not meet the
criteria for a single off his album. He gets credit as featured artist on a single off 2pacs album.
The Nas acoustic version used is track 2 on the 2pac's Thugz mansion single.

Yup I dont have many complaints about about nas. But leaving certain songs off his album and not making certain songs as singles. No reason you wont see me tonight shouldn't have been a single.

I don't know if anyone remembers, but Hot 97.5 ATL was playing "Kissing" in like September/October 1999. It wasn't even a single, but it got played.

"But there is some money involved. For “Rare” alone, he’ll pocket nearly $369,000 (minus Royal’s cut)"

Damn!.. but how does this work for artists who dont own 100% of their songs like Nas has with these two

Just like record sales, artist would get a smaller cut I would think. So it wouldn't be worth it for them really. Plus most artist don't even owe their music
