Upon reflection I’d prob go something like:

KD1 3.5 or 4 (not fully decided yet)
KD2 4.5
Magic 4.5 (not fully decided yet)

Magic feels…well, like magic. I didn’t like Wu For The Children much initially but fukk with it now; the flow at the beginning was throwing me off initially. It kinda feels like a damn near flawless album. If I have a complaint it’s minor shyt like the KD3 shout out on Ugly (I would have put it on a more boisterous track than Ugly, given the theme), and the “air” adlib on Wave Gods after he mentions the Jordan’s/23 line. As you can see, minor shyt lol.

What happened to all the critic reviews?
Can’t wait to hear from the dude who said Nas and was lying when he said the only island his nikkaz knew was Rikers or Staten. Probably write some bullshyt like “Nas says the only thing undefeated is time the internet and this rhyme which is categorically false as there are many other things in this world that have been undefeated, 2 stars out of 10”

Most played song from each Album?

KD1: 27 Summers
KD2: Count Me In
Magic: The Truth

Going by my plays count in my itunes library (reset my libraries stats when I did my last update like 7 months ago)

KD1: Replace Me (I play it around joints/when cruising Don Toliver smashed the hook)
KD2: Rare (54 plays tied for most in library)
KD3: Speechless (Love the scheme on the chorus, but I know over time it will become Dedicated, that 90s R&B feel in the first half, then the truimphant second half with the Ross like flow, and no tricks tricks)

I really love the no tricks line, because it's poignant in some many ways. Like Hit-Boy said it's just him and Nas, not a thousand ghost producers or switching beats for songs or gimmicky album rollouts (Ye), the sales will be the sales, no company buying copies upon release to give platinum certification (Jay), no gossip to sell records (modern rap culture). Also the tricks reminds me of trix which are of course for kids. The simplest shyt bar wise on the album still hits hard when you know about Nas' journey in life and the rap game

Can't help but feel this is a small jab at Jay. With the Ether making your soul burn slow.
Honestly when he talked about the crown and the being the goat while it's competitive rap, there's really only one dude he's in competition with all time who's alive. IN my mind if Jay doesn't come with another solo project about how he see things now/how he's living a la KD it's over, I already had nas as goat but 4:44 was Jay's Life Is Goos, I said that when it dropped difference is he HAD to make it considering the world knew about Becky and Lemonade pointed the finger, so Jay had to own up, and give a status update. I enjoyed that album tho (had minor issue with some mixes). I would as a fan of rap like to see if Jay has something in the vein of KD (topic wise) that he could give.

Everything is Love I completely passed on because I rarely a fan of relationship collab joints let alone whole ass albums.

And outside of Sorry Not Sorry his recent verses have come in the music of people I don't care to listen to like that. (Meek, Drake, etc.)

I assume it’s just because Nas didn’t think of the Jay song but surely Jay would see it as a sub when Nas said he’s number 1, the crown is his and most importantly said ‘the city is mine’. Hopefully it brings Jay out to do another album and my number 1 and 2 keep pushing each other (not that Nas needs more pushing to churn out amazing work)

Jay was just talking cash money about wifey and himself with the MJ never did Coachella and nobody seeing me in a versus talk. So all this action vs. just words from Jay. If after KD3 Jay doesn't come with anythings I'll consider Jay retired

Hahaha that review was really the dumbest music opinion I ever read on the internet, and that says A LOT
