I get everything is subjective but I'm sitting here thinking about the cognitive dissonance of thinking Wave Gods is dope until you realize Hit Boy produced it, not Premo. Or watching Hit Boy get all these producer of the year accolades - and praise from his peers - while you say Nas needs better beats. Huh. At some point these guys need to just take the mask off and admit they haven't liked just about any noteworthy rap music over the last decade. Including Kendrick, Cole, Ross, Pusha, and all these other dudes that "real hip hop" fans sometimes dap up. It's either that, or it's the "if Nas does it, it's wrong/not good" thing rearing it's ugly head.
But anyway...back to the album. Second verse on The Truth my verse of the year man. First verse is stunning too.
