I appreciate the Nas and Hit Boi body of work and the frequency of the releases like a mug. We all wanted ALL the Nas music we could actually have access to. Now, we have had it coming constantly over the last 2 years and it's dope AF. I think @Life is Good hit it on the head when he mentioned Nas's evolution as an artist. I agree. Yo! Nas is NOT GOING BACK y'all. To quote the God, "it's forward, never backward". He keeps sayin' it in his songs if yall listen.

Look, even me, one of the biggest fans of his unreleased music catalog... I understand that with his continued evolution as an artist, we will continue to get a broader and wider range of music types, flows, concepts, stories, and gems. I can get with that. Keep running that shyt back Nas!

i'm willing to bet my life's saving's that Preemo's "Ok efforts" would beat out Hit Boy's best. Not saying that preemo would half a*s it, but that's just how good he is. I know preeme would be giving Nas the best of what he has to offer though and in the event that moment comes, just watch the SWITCH UP like a fine ex texting you "hey big head" :ahh:
I've posted this multiple times but we gotta be honest about Nas Preem album. The expectations at least mine would be way to unrealistic. I mean the track record between those 2 is impeccable. 3 of my top 5 Nas songs all time is produced by Preem:heh::wow:. I'm enjoying the hell out of these Hitboy albums especially since each one is better than the last:blessed:

it's the end of 2021 and Nas "fans" still complaining about him not working with Dj. Premier and Pete Rock :martin: I'm fukking sick of this shyt.

people don't want a great Nas album. they just want him to work with these two (and Az). Pete Rock could drop a triple album tomorrow and nobody even give a fukk, but as soon as a Nas album drop, they're like "but but why no Pete rock?":to:

The funny thing is if Nas did an entire premo album it would be the most scrutinized album in Hip Hop history

“Why didn’t he put AZ on 6 of the 10 songs!??!”

“Why didn’t they resurrect Guru for a feature?!?!”

“Why didn’t they get Q-Tip and Large Professor to fart at the end of track 3?!?!”

“Why didn’t they sample Ozone’s speech from Breakin’?!?”

“Why doesn’t this sound like the 90’s?!?!”

“Why doesn’t this sound like modern day?!?”

“Why didn’t Nas just work with Hit-Boy again?!?!”

I can hear all of that bullshyt now.

I swear, whenever I see nikkas in here quoting Nas lyrics, it makes me realize how much shyt I be overlooking at times.

Sometimes a 10th, 11th, or even a 20th replay is required to get it down entirely.

There aren't too many artists that leave me thinking in this way.

And on top of all that, he always manages to paint the perfect visual image of everything he's saying. Shyt is unbelievable.

do this for me. take just these two items from Nasirs career:ohhh: 1.) illmatic 2.) beef w/ Jay z.:ohhh:, which in reality was just Jay making Nas relevant :russ:

:umad: Now if he's one of these all time:comeon: greatest goats w/ tenure w/ legacy he should still be relevant no:patrice:

what else has he done outside of these two items:patrice:

where is his impact:jbhmm:

where are his quotables :dwillhuh:

trends:gucci:

growth as a real creative/ a real artist:comeon:

a suitable VS for Nas would be Common that's more his wheelhouse and common would smoke nas:picard:

You haven't listened to a lot of Nas, have you?

This.

And then there would be people complaining that the production wasn't on the level of previous Premo produced Nas songs.
