Right? I mean I know people are saying this reminds them of Illmatic, but it reminds me a lot of Lost Tapes 1 in terms of no basically zero announcement and then bam, it's out. Magic seems like how Jay wanted The Black Album to originally be. No singles or promo, and then it's just suddenly out.

there's been a recent trend of artists writing "featuring DJ Premier" when it's the scratches, and it kind of annoys me because it implies to a lot of people that he produced the joint. Which makes total sense. It seems a bit misleading to me.

Eminem did it on his last album, and I believe either Game or Dre did it recently too. Run The Jewels did it recently also.

Aight what we're not gonna do is act like Street's Disciple and HHiD weren't mid as fukk . I recently revisited both and their mediocrity stands out even more now that his output is so much better these days.

2 of my least favorite nas albums. Although they both have highlights I really enjoy.
