Is this still a Nas thread at this point?
Blueprint 2 was a double disc my guy. It was counted twice. shyt was 1.5. And I SAID he had the mainstream fans still. But u are rewriting history by saying it wasn’t a difference. It was. Nas had the streets. Jay didn’t. There’s even nikkas like Star who was on the radio making fun of Jay for it. Name a year where Jay was the top selling rapper overall tho. I bet u can’t. Cause there was always someone right there or right over him. He’s been the most consistent. Well until this Nas run. Either way ur annoying as fukk. U got weird tendencies bro. By the way Stillmatic was over 2 million records sold. They never paid for the certification. God’s Son sold around the same amount as BP2 without the Beyoncé/Pac stimulus or the pop singles.Original person I quoted said KONY, I was wrong for bringing in Nelly /Em. So they out as far as your opinion.
As lackluster as bp2 might of been received, it was still hitting harder than God son and the black album followed.

It's Hov
Streets Disciple has a score of 80 on Metacritic. Thats higher than Stillmatic. Its also Nas’s last album to date to reach Platinum. It was definitely critically acclaimed when it first dropped.
Even Rolling Stone and Pitchfork, who typically shyt on Nas, praised the album.
Street's Disciple
Nas: Street's Disciple
Hip Hop Is Dead has a Metacritic score of 79 and is to date Nas’s second highest selling album in the first week. It also earned Nas his first Grammy nomination in 7 years. Again it was very well received when it dropped
Just listening to the aggression and arrogance on some of these songs. He may not be a battle bars/ battle rapper and Ether of course proved it he can go there. But even now listening to joints like Meet Joe Black, Nas still got the skills to battle on wax and destroy people if he had to. Nas underestimated in that realm
trying to work out who some of the lines for on this just in case they’re subs. Part of me thinks Gibbs may have been the one on his mind for some stuff after some of the stuff Gibbs been saying (friendly comp of course). He certainly went at Cole on KD2
50 didn't make Jay retire. No one really makes folks retire. Maybe fans can sway to the other direction like 50 vs Jarule situation. You're absolutely right, about being in NY to be king. I misread a Lil and made that mistake. With that said, after Jay was king, it was 50,never Nas. 50 made Jay retire, not Nas.
What bars are you thinking are for each of them?

Y’all really about to derail the thread with this bullshyt? Shut the fukk up.
The hook on "Meet Joe Black" is filthy. Any rapper that hears that gotta be
The flow on "Hollywood Gangsta"...
