Nice album. 9 songs like Illmatic.

Its funny Nas complaining about his fans wanting the old Nas style, but this sounds like old Nas! Not complaining.

He did it on his own terms, dropping it as a complete surprise.

The easy thing would've been to promote dropping a 9 track album in the vein of Illmatic. Which is what any commercial label or Manager would've advised him to do.
