Just listening to the aggression and arrogance on some of these songs. He may not be a battle bars/ battle rapper and Ether of course proved it he can go there. But even now listening to joints like Meet Joe Black, Nas still got the skills to battle on wax and destroy people if he had to. Nas underestimated in that realm

trying to work out who some of the lines for on this just in case they’re subs. Part of me thinks Gibbs may have been the one on his mind for some stuff after some of the stuff Gibbs been saying (friendly comp of course). He certainly went at Cole on KD2

There is no way man. Nas broke Jay-z with Stillmatic/ Ether. It made him retire. Also, you do realize you have to be in New York to be KONY right, so why are you mentioning a St Louis and Detroit rapper?
You're absolutely right, about being in NY to be king. I misread a Lil and made that mistake. With that said, after Jay was king, it was 50,never Nas. 50 made Jay retire, not Nas.

This is cap. If u remember the climate around that time u would know it is. Jay was pretty cold in the hood for the whole 02. Don’t get me wrong he had lil features and shyt like that and he was still popular mainstream wise but his confidence and his stronghold was gone. Then he dropped BP2 which was lackluster as fukk especially compared to BP1. Meanwhile Nas was running victory laps with Lost Tapes and God’s Son. 50 coming in the game didn’t help shyt at all. But Nas put him in that awkward position in the first place. shyt there’s really no years where either one was absolutely number 1 in the game if u wanna be honest cause u always had the super popular cats like Eminem and Nelly or some shyt that sold more.

No he does not. And at this point, he's no threat to Hov (catalog wise) , he gotta go waaaaay harder

Why are you still in this thread???
You're like a roach that refuses to die.

You already lied n said it's because people keep mentioning you.

No motherfukker, you keep interjecting yourself with opinions nobody gives a fukk about

Respect yourself n bow the fukk out

Original person I quoted said KONY, I was wrong for bringing in Nelly /Em. So they out as far as your opinion.
As lackluster as bp2 might of been received, it was still hitting harder than God son and the black album followed.

It's Hov

EDIT: nikkaS LOVE MAKING EXCUSES. TRUTH IS, ONCE VOL2 DROPPED, HOV ECLIPSED NAS AND NEVER LOST THAT LEAD FROM THEM ON. EVEN DURING THE BATTLE, IT WAS STILL HOV. AND Y'ALL nikkaS SOME CRY BABIES, COME IN HERE MAKING ALL TYPES OF COMMENTS ABOUT NAS NOW BEING THE GOAT AND THIS BEING HIS BEST ALBUM, THEN WHEN nikkaS DON'T AGREE, "OH YOU DERAILING THE THREAD". NOPE EVERY THING I SPOKE ON WERE TOPIC AND VIEWPOINTS INTERJECTED BY OTHERS. RESPECT THE GAME
