I was listening to the show as well but was being disturbed and couldnt hear everything. To me they looked surprised. They even discovered on the spot that Nas had posted that video 2hours prior and it took people in the comments to explain to them the 2 wands were the reference to Magic 2, I think they hadn't seen that. Coop did say he knew since November Nas was working on a Magic sequel, I think.

Even the Twitter plug, I'm in a discord with her and when someone mentioned a couple days ago that an album was dropping 07/17, she was surprised and thought it was a single only

So the Reddit dude must really be a close collaborator to have all this precise info everytime

It’s possibly but the plug could also just be told not to say anything

If she knows she isn’t gonna tell anyone till Nas announces it

This is facts. I had zero interest in a Hit Boy album, or the stuff he's doing with his dad...because while I like him as a producer he's not one of my favorites, and the projects didn't catch my interest at all. Whereas I'm gonna listen to every Alchemist project until I die (except for Larry June shyt lol). The love is one sided with the stans. If Nas had done four albums with Soulja Boy on the beats they'd have that in their top 10 yearly, be saying he's one of the best young producers in the game, and dapping him up at every chance (while simultaneously not listening to any new non-Nas related music from him).
:dead:

If Al, Madlib, Flying Lotus, Knxwledge, or any producer I fukk with put something out I'm giving it a spin. I'm not big on Larry either but I at least checked the album out. Usually I'll make sure to say something good or bad in the thread if I get to it early enough. I don't see how anyone can rate a producer highly but not listen to his music unless he's working with a specific artist. If that's the case it's more the artist than the producer.

What I find funny is that we could literally say this for a LOT of Producers, who get famous and get credit for working with famous rappers and that catapults them to a higher status. Would anybody on here be arguing that Alchemist is somehow the greatest thing since sliced bread WITHOUT the extensive work he did with Mobb Deep and Prodigy (Particularly H.N.I.C and Return Of The Mac) would Kanye West become Kanye West without his extensive work on The Blueprint & BP2

The point I'm making is if you think highly enough of a producer that you'd rate them in the top tier currently then you should listen to their work.

I guarantee you anyone who ranks Alchemist highly listened to random shyt like Durag Dynasty, or if it's Premier NYG'z, Dilla it was Frank n Dank, etc. They got bangers with C list rappers that most fans know. Even if you hate the rappers you want the instrumentals because you're a fan of their beats first and foremost not just who raps over them. I don't see the Hit Boy fans doing that. A lot of them weren't going crazy before Nas and they aren't checking for him away from Nas.

Coop said that he found out last November that Nas and Hit Boy had recorded an album in between KD1 and KD2 that they scrapped.

Interesting analysis, do you have numbers to back up your claim that Hit Boy fans aren't fukking with his solo music? Especially in contrast to Alchemist? Do you feel that top selling rappers such as Big Sean and rappers on the come up grind such as Benny The Butcher tapped Hit Boy to provide executive production on their projects because nobody fukks with his beats outside of Nas fans only WHEN he's doing beats for Nas and they felt sorry for him and wanted to throw him some pity work?

‘for kd3, I remember the rumors like the album was originally on some illmatic type level (could he exaggerating) and even nas or someone said that if ya want that, go listen to his old stuff and then went a different direction for kd3 and it seemed like he scrapped the whole album which seemed done at the time…. Wonder if he kept those and went to a different feel and figured “Why not” release this heat with some new joints. Also think 50 will be on this…

This is absolutely without a doubt, the dumbest shyt you ever posted.

If Soulja was producing for Nas the fans would call him great and your example to support this phenomenon is Hitboy???

I swear your highs n lows are just like Anthony Davis
Big ass gap

Im hoping for it to be called BLACK MAGIC or DARK MAGIC and have him rapping about esoteric, Nubian God street tales and subliminal 5 percenter references but in a modern way... talking about but still being a Black God while breaking bread off dinner tables with Cacodemon Investors like Elon Musk but never selling out :wow:
How bout an album called Magic Camp detailing his efforts to become an amateur magician and explaining various tricks he’s learned?

Reddit breh the only real source posting detail on line

Twitter girl, I been saying, she probably got an in with someone in the camp but she wrong way too often

She was saying no new material anytime soon, Nas mad at the fans about KDII streaming numbers then Magic dropped like a week later

Anyone trying to guilt trip fans over sales and streams during the KD run not a real insider, point blank.

I'ma put it this way. Nas been in the game 30 plus years and sold many millions worldwide. Anthony Saleh an A-list manager, he manage Future and Kendrick too. They both know how this work. If they upset how these albums performing, why they keep rolling them out the exact same way?

First thing I said:
Hit Boy dropped an album and probably 90% of the ones singing his praises weren't in the thread for it.

Pretty clear I'm talking about the coli so I don't get why you're mentioning Benny and Big Sean or asking for numbers. There's discussions on here about producers and I don't see the usual suspects that you see in Nas threads participating. If Hit Boy is so great where are they? Why weren't they in his album thread? Like I said there's people who only reply to Nas threads which is cool but it looks funny when they make broader claims about music when they don't seem to speak on much outside of Nas.

That's not a shot at Hit Boy but it's an observation on the arguments you see in Nas threads. It's common place in any music threads for people to say they want to see artists X work with producer Y and it doesn't devolve into chaos. Nas threads in particular always get messy for a reason. There's a level of fanaticism that people go to with him.

But if you or anyone feel like Hit Boy is one of the greats prove me wrong and give me your top 20 beats of his not with Nas.
