That song ass to me bruh, lol. Nas my guy, all day, but I skip that ish ASAP. I don't like "Rule" either like that, it's alright. And Braveheart Party is butt. Them the only 3 joints I skip on that album, that album is incredible…even "Smokin" is dope to me, it aint crazy crazy but its dope, some vibe ish.

:pachaha: It’s funny how music opinions are subjective cuz Smokin was always the 2nd wakkest song besides braveheart party to me off stillmatic.but I liked rule & my country

abracadabra my 3rd favorite joint on here after Bokeem woodbine & what this really means

Video is not what you think. He has an irritating intro pushing the weak beats narrative, but then afterwards he breaks down some Hitboy production techniques and tries to recreate Hitboy's sound in one of his own beats. At one point he compares Ghetto Reporter to French House music and it's pretty interesting.

EDIT: This probably fits better in the official Nas thread. My bad.

Bruh exactly. I was listening to the Joe Budden podcast and parks was saying he likes the album, but he doesn’t right like Nas over modern beats and I’m saying to my self how? People have stuck Nas in one box. I will say he was taking up for Nas discography and said this run has put it passes jays and leading up to this run it was already neck and neck.
Parks was in his white bag on that one.

This shyt is outSTANDING.

Some people don’t and some people do. I’m talking about those that think it’s completely wack
Not wack... but a bit disappointing after last 3... actually compared to all of them. And yes all opinions are valid, but I really don't see how people are rating this with the others track for track.

I see the younger people are rating this higher than a lot of the older listeners. Like for instance my younger brother has this up there with KD3 and over the first Magic. He still has KD3 as number 1 tho.

I think it’s a taste thing honestly. I don’t even look at any of the albums the same. They all have their own individual sound. I think Magic 2 has Nas experimenting with different sounds and he didn’t sound wack over any of them. Also Nas was spitting over these tracks. I don’t skip a song on the album personally. But people that don’t like Nas over modern sounding songs may not like abracadabra, black magic, earvin magic Johnson, one mic one gun. I enjoy those records especially in the summer time. I like every album Nas and hit have dropped.

Bingo! I keep trying to tell people that this resonates with the younger generation. I’m in my 30’s but I appreciate the modern sound so it caught me immediately. No knock on anybody. I still say if Nas put Drake on Abracadabra and J Cole on Motion, this album goes to the moon universally, especially with the younger generation.
