He enjoy the challenge of having few features and it's more satisfying artistically. He spoken on this before

But fans love features and it's the easiest way to get casual fans to check a new release out. Like, just using Magic 2 as the example, Motion is the right lane for Rae and Ghost and you can perform it live on the upcoming tour, easy promo. Core fanbase always asking for AZ collabs so put him on WTARM, perfect fit. Rick Ross on EMJ, perfect fit. Do any or all of these plus a star of the streaming era like Kendrick on Pistols and you reaching a lot wider audience
Nah I agree Nas is a soloist and I’m not mad at it. It just depends on what the team is looking for. If we do get any features next, Drake, Kendrick, J Cole, Sza and weeknd on my list of choices if I had a say. Not all on the same project ofcourse.

Like you said thats not Nas though

He’s a soloist through and through. Even when he had a plethora of features on KD1 they were mostly regulated to the same song, not really dispersed throughout

Example- of the 7 rapping features on KD1, three are on one song and 2 are on one song.

Of the 6 rapping features on KD2, 2 are on one song and 2 are on one song.

Agreed. I don't need him to have a bunch of features or big numbers. This last 3 years has been the best time to be a Nas fan since 2001-2002, that's all that matter to me

The only thing I will say contradictory to that is, would be cool for the last installment of KD to be a toast to his career and have some prominent guests from each era featured

I've been bumping all 5 albums and what a run this has been

:whew:

In the end I'd like to see 5 KDs and 3 Magics to round it out or if they want to go 10 for each series I would love that lol

Nas has been blessing us constantly we are not even worthy

The way this album just gets better every spin is crazy. Perfect for the gym, the whip. Not one skippable track.

What a run.

With that said

Kd3
Magic
Kd2

I can't rank magic 2 and kd1. Seems criminal to have one at the bottom lol.

KD1 holds a lot of value to me. Started this entire run and "group". shyt sounded so fresh and the feedback for that album was refreshing, considering how miserable everyone is generally.

The way nas comes back in after 50 gets his shyt off is fukkin nuts, it makes me look forward to hearing 50 just for that very reason ha

It would be kinda fun to have a Nas/Hit Boy bracket tournament to see what the general consensus top songs are.

Tried to make a 16 track album from this series, couldn't come close. Even the double disc was tough:whoo:

Disc 1:
Speechless
Meet Joe Black
Thun
Blue Benz
30
Rare
Store Run
Count Me In
Composure
Car 85
Get Light
Nobody
40-16 Building
Wave Gods
The Truth
Dedicated
Nas Is Good

Disc 2:
Legit
Motion
Bokeem
Wu For The Children
The Definition
10 Points
Slow It Down
Pistols
WTF SMH
Spicy
Hood2Hood
I'm On Fire
Replace Me
All Bad
Full Circle
Don't Shoot
The Cure

Doesn't mean he rushed them though, I respect Nas too much as an artist to assume that. Nasir being bad is the fault of Mike Dean and Kanye, not Nas. They rushed his process, the vocals were mixed off beat in some cases, and various other things are just lazy. I'd imagine if Nas knew beforehand that he wouldn't be spending a lot of time in the studio with Kanye, or that the album had to be finished within a set period of time no matter what...he wouldn't have agreed to do it.

Lost Tapes 2...eh. Some good songs but a lot of stuff that prob should have stayed in the vaults. I could have happily gone on living without hearing Royalty or Queens Wolf. I don't think they just randomly picked some bad songs to quickly get out of a contract though. It was just an ehh collection, compared to what we thought we'd be getting. Didn't sound like he was receptive to the idea in that last Khaled interview but if we did get a LT3...I think most people would prefer Sony/Columbia Nas over Def Jam Nas.

Queens wolf was fire

I would replace all bad and the definition by 27 summers and recession proof. But good list

I’m trying to think of a downright bad song they have made throughout the series of KD’s and and Magic. And I legit can’t think of one. I’m talking about a song i absolutely have to skip when it comes on.

Probably just a Hit Boy/Big Hit song :unimpressed:

Doubt he uses the same formula Benny is using for his album.
