“I show you how to move when these dudes be lyin'
The coupe’s flyin’, the suits fire
The crew full of riders, loophole finders
Don't kill a messenger…”
When he started flowing with that rhyme scheme and abruptly stopped was the ultimate flex
dawg pretty much ended the album on some “I can do this shyt all day” shyt
Bruh exactly. I was listening to the Joe Budden podcast and parks was saying he likes the album, but he doesn’t right like Nas over modern beats and I’m saying to my self how? People have stuck Nas in one box. I will say he was taking up for Nas discography and said this run has put it passes jays and leading up to this run it was already neck and neck.Dudes were overreacting and exaggerating with regards to his "modern/today" flow on this track. He sounds perfectly fine on it.
Abracadabra is a bangerI listen to everything except Intro and Abracadabra
I don't think people understand this Illmatic is the gift & curse of Nas career. Parks is one of those guys in the past that said I Gave you power changed his life. You can't blame people for having attachment to that style. In a way this is Nas fault he never gave the fans same albums over & over againBruh exactly. Haha I mean I get it. Having a particular style you like is ok. I just feel like nobody is boxed in more than Nas. I don’t blame parks though, I gave you power is mind blowing. I’m glad parks held down Nas on the show though. Otherwise the same narratives would be running.I think so people don't understand this Illmatic is the gift & curse of Nas career.
