Random but Nas was going crazy on that last verse on “All Bad” Running back KD1, shyt fire, I think people lessen its value because of all the relationship content. The shyt is fire, lol, that’s all that should matter

I always loved the way he started that verse and how he flowed on it: "Since Guess was spotted on my denim pockets/And my wave grease would amaze geeks and freeze fly chicks/Where you stood, I never lost a step, stay splashing."

The only reason KD1 gets ignored is because almost every album afterwards surpassed it. But it's always been a great listen.

This isn’t talked about enough :pachaha:I can’t think about another album where a track that’s on the original album—-not a bonus, or a Best Buy deluxe—-a legit album cut that’s just removed like it didn’t exist. It’s off Apple Music and everything.

There’s tons of so called Nas fans never heard that song. You woulda had to actually been there to remember…..And that’s also how you know how delusional a Nas fan is the nggas who post in these threads would probably defend that song

I’m the biggest Nas fan in the world and I can comfortably say that Braveheart Party is THE worst song in his discography. There’s literally NOTHING redemptive about that song

Black Girl Lost 2. Produced by Hit Boy is THE worst song in his discography and one of the worst hip hop songs I’ve ever heard.

Always loved that verse on "All Bad" too

"been on bad ones since junior high"

you gotta relate to that one lol

edit, full bars:

Not one of these just got money, not knowin' how to act
New to these bad ones, I was on fly chicks since junior high
Beautiful fly girls caught my eye
But I got no time for juveniles throwing tantrums
Texting me that they hate my one-word answers
Here's two, call me, this is you stalling
Guess you through, you ignore me, days go by
Missing you be the worst, play the game, who gon' hit who first
Checking my Yachtmaster, Pac blaster
Wonder why they call you bytch, empty shot glasses
Scrolling back on the thread, the nice things you once said
Look at us now, it's all bad

Does anyone think KD 1 is the best album out of all the Hitboy joints? Just curious.

Naw for me its KD2

KD2
KD3
Magic 2
Magic
KD1

But just because I put KD1 last doesn’t mean I still don’t listen to it or think its great. Its just that Nas and Hit leveled up so much they got sooooo much better with each release

Don’t Shoot one of my fav joints on the album. The shyt fly as fukk to me. lol. Even the beat switch.
“I show you how to move when these dudes be lyin'
The coupe’s flyin’, the suits fire
The crew full of riders, loophole finders
Don't kill a messenger…”

When he started flowing with that rhyme scheme and abruptly stopped was the ultimate flex :wow:

dawg pretty much ended the album on some “I can do this shyt all day” shyt

That's another song where he just starts off the verse ready to go: "Pop a bottle in my Nautica/Bill Russell jersey, solid and sturdy, Stevie's harmonica."

Listening to KD3 again before Magic 2 came out made me realize how much I underrated "Ghetto Reporter." I always liked the song, but I was questioning how strong it was as the opening track. Now, I love it. One of Nas' most memorable lines in this era is "They argue KD1, KD2, or Magic was harder when...../KD3 go harder than all of them." Letting you know at the start that him and Hit-Boy topped themselves for a third time.

Do u feel that way? Lol
Nah but it’s a really good album. That’s the one that got the Grammy and it seemed like everyone, celebs and all, were saying it’s a “classic” and all that on IG…it’s just weird that that’s the most successful one by all metrics of success but I never see anyone on here say it’s the best, like ever, 🤷🏽‍♂️. Musically it’s arguable, imo.

Magic 2 over Magic???? Wow.

KD2 is my #1 too, it’s just loaded musically, perfect marriage between traditional Nas and late 40s Nas

I’m saying, I love KD2 but Nas’ hunger came back on KD3. That super technical, intricate poet lyricist returned fully on 3.

He gave us a tiny bit on KD1, a good bit more on KD2, Magic was the warm up before the sprint
