Nas needs a Westside Gunn approach production. I still go back to their past songs they made while blowing up.

Nas has just never sounded great to me using a double time flow

From what I've heard of the album, Nas is fine and Hits production is fine.. I think it's their choices that I'm not caring for.. These beats might've worked better with someone else

Still gotta finish though

Crazy when you think about it, it was never the plan for Nas and Hitboy to do 5 albums over the span in three years. The original idea was for Nas and Hit to a Valentines Day ep (It's the reason why KD1 had so many song dedicated to women)
And we know that if that EP had come out it probably would have been received poorly and we wouldn't have get the KD and Magic series.

We dodged a bullet. :wow:

:what:

This gate keeping y'all try to do is ridiculous. You're mad that people don't like the music to the degree you like it so that means they're not Nas fans and have to leave the thread. Are you listening to yourself? We're just not fanatics.

You want the thread to be an echo chamber of nothing but compliments. It doesn't work that way. You don't need to fight for Nas' honor. He'll be alright if some of us don't feel this album.
Nice try. Gatekeeping isn't going on here. 'Not liking the music to the degree I like it' is not the issue at all. I've been listening to Nas for 30 years, and been on message boards for what, 20-25? I know how things work, and you not gonna pull this bullshyt.

You got dudes in here that don't like one track on the album. ONE TRACK lmao. As a Nas fan, how is that possible? You see what I'm getting at here? You don't have to be a 'fanatic', but if you're a Nas fan, a fan of rap, how do you not like the album? Dude is spitting all over it. Pen is still there. Flow is sharp as ever. What's not to like? Cause it's not 'Illmatic'? And don't get me started on the Hit-Boy slander. Transparent ass mufukkas.

Nah, miss me with the 'gatekeeping' bullshyt. When there's artists/albums I don't like, or listen to, you know what I do? I don't listen to them, and I stay out of threads/don't talk about them. I know that's a hard concept to grasp, but trust me, it's possible. Yet when it comes to Nas, y'all just can't do that. Can't help yourselves. Whole thread full fo bullshyt before the album even came out, so I wasn't surprised when it did come out, all y'all started dumping on it. What a shock. PPL thats bytching before the album came out didn't like it when it did. But y'all supposed to be Nas fans? lol right.

Just clarifying for my notes. Nas-haters are throwing Hit Boy in the bushes now? We going back to the "beats" excuse? Got it.

it’s the #1 Nas stan go to …when all else fails …blame the producer :mjlol:

Hit-Boys production hasn’t even sounded the same on these projects …they could have put an alias for this nikka on each album and people wouldn’t have been able to know the difference ..he’s been extremely diverse from beat to beat. “10 points” sounds nothing like “Store Run” which sounds nothing like “Joe Black” which sounds nothing like “Thun” which sounds nothing “Black Magic” …but to protect their savior they throw his producers under the bus and claim the beats are always “stale” lol …Hit has definitely had a few misses over the course of 5 albums and i’ve said that myself but overall he’s done his job ..it’s just goofy stan shyt with many of Nasir’s followers.
