You know the opps are furious right now. The loudest and the ones complaining the most on this forum don’t even regularly comment on anything Nas related. Now y’all coming out in packs trying to shyt on Hitboy and Nas projects. We see you! The real fans don’t feed into the narrative. LET NAS COOK BECAUSE SON KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING! BET ON NAS! HE IS A TRUE ARTIST & KNOWS WHEN TO SWITCH THINGS UP!
Nas about to crush the game again :ahh:

Bringing up 9th wonder like he can produce a speechless, the cure, composure, 30, blue Benz, ugly, store run, Thun, death row East, etc for Nas is hilarious

I'm not even a 9th guy anymore but he's been doing stuff like Store Run for 20 years fam. Composure is literally a (sample pack) horn over drums. Ugly is a 70s soul sample loop. The Cure has another sample pack horn before the beat switch into a reworked beat beat and haunting vocal sample. All these beats are dope. Surely we can say "I like Nas and Hit Boy" without going into the weird stan shyt of "Hit Boy is doing things no one else can so stop mentioning other producers who aren't as good." All of that stuff can be done by other producers. Would Premo be able to do a trap beat? No. Does that say anything about Premo? Of course not.

Tbh I agree with some people here that Hit's beat's sound "light" and don't really slap hard like a Dre or a Primo beat. Hes' basically chopping up some simplistic soul samples over light drums. What he doing ain't revolutionary.

Plus, like 9th, he make all his shyt on Fruity Loops, which 9th pioneered 20 years ago.
I personally don't care for FL, shyt sound too basic, a program like Pro Tools is much better and much more professional sounding.

Hit seems like he has a very basic setup, never once seen him in a real studio in front of a professional mixing board. Look like he does all his shyt in his house or basement.

It ain't about wanting to hear Nas go back to Premo and Extra P....them dudes have been washed for years.

It's about Hitboy mid ass beats...them lame ass poor man's 9th Wonder soul loops with tinny weak drums. Poor melodies....everything midtempo.

I know some of the Nas stans on this site are fighting for their life to try and convince people he's some tier 1 great producer....but the shyt is clearly not true :mjlol:

His beats sound alright on the first couple of listens but the more you hear them you realize how hollow his production is.

Let's not pretend that Hitboy's beats are so next level and boundary pushing that people can't understand the brave new soundscapes Nas is rappin' on....they're some offbrand Roc-a-Fella era beats you'd hear on a Young Gunz album.
I have to kind of agree with this. He is a great imitator of styles but a master of none.

After listening to those KD albums a few times and going back to it you realise how many mediocre/borderline generic beats there are on each album.

He puts together these soul loops and boom bap beats and thinks hes catering to that lane but there are other producers killing that style so much harder than him. Its the same reason that Benny album was so mid ... it was a whole album of outdated sounding soul tracks, it really was a roc-era type of sound that was just so boring to listen to.

A producer like Alc or Madlib could make a soulful album without drawing for those super obvious 70s soul sounds.. theyll make it actually sound unique.

Breh even used a mad obvious pre-made loop from a sample pack in one of the beats for KD3 .... how the fukk does he get a pass for that.

Exactly.

What was the last epic 9th wonder beat? The last great album/song he produced.

You can argue 9th been washed for a decade.

Nobody’s going to be happy. They’ll come on here and bytch about where are the LES, Havoc, and Large Pro beats?
These people are opps. Pay attention these people only come out the woodwork when they believe Nas is dropping
something. Nas got them scared. These people never comment on other threads pertaining to Nas. it’s a distraction. ignore them.
