I think him working with Hitboy now doesn't mean that he shouldn't ever work with anyone else later. I think it would be stupid to imply that, and real fukking dumb to try and insult other people who just want to hear their favorite rapper branch out with other collaborators.

It's not even about Nas branching out with other collaborators. It's fans who only want Nas to branch out with the collaborators they want. If Nas announced a new album entirely produced by Metro Boomin, it would be met with, why didn't he stick with Hit? Then there'd be the same petitions for a Premo album, why couldn't he get Alchemist? Madlib, etc?

I agree with you bro. I think him working with Hitboy now doesn't mean that he shouldn't ever work with anyone else later. I think it would be stupid to imply that, and real fukking dumb to try and insult other people who just want to hear their favorite rapper branch out with other collaborators.

Matter of fact, you should check out this guy @Life is Good on the last page doing that shyt. Why don't you dump some capslock on him too while you're at it. Show him you really mean business. Can you even believe morons like him think Nas should be pigeonholed? Crazy right. :lolbron:
When Nas is ready to branch out he will do so. He will never be pigeonholed. That’s how we know y’all not real fans bc there was never a point in Nas’ career that he was pigeonholed. Nas has always moved in different directions with his art. So therefore you are complaining just to complain. Stay lost in the sauce bc Nas is always 10 steps ahead of you nyggas. OPPS always try to spread a narrative. WE NOT FALLING FOR THE NEW “Nas needs to work with other producers besides Hitboy” to replace “Nas picks bad beats.”. THE OPPS ARE WORKING HARD TO TEAR DOWN HITBOY. Y’all targeting Hitboy like y’all targeted Nas’ beat selections. We see how y’all moving. The team and real fans are on to y’all. So move along HIT BOY is fam & will be respected as such.

It would only be contradictory if it was same person saying all of that shyt. Different people feel different ways about it. I personally think him and Alch need to get together again, and think that Preemo has been washed for years so I'm not really excited about them working together. At the same time I'm not going to be mad if he makes another album with Hitboy since the last 3 have been fire. Your opinion could be different, but that's not going to change mine.

I'm just tired of the Hitboy defense squad who try to shout down anyone bringing up any other producers. You can't make everyone happy and it's the internet, where contrarian a$$holes run wild. Some people just straight up don't like Hitboy and love Nas. Let people have their opinions. You're not going to change anyone's mind.

I just want good music doesn't matter the producer. Nas rapped on two other producers joints this year already (Metro joint was cool &Swizz:beli:). I'm not going to complain if HB keeps inspiring him the music has gotten better each release. It's not like they dropping bottom tier shyt like Nasir HHID type but to each their own.

The funniest thing about it is Nas did songs with every so many of these producers recently and y'all never talk about those songs(especially Preem)

Y'all just aren't Nas fans
They're fans of their own nostalgia. They want to replicate the feeling they had when they were younger in the early 90s. Chasing that first high that never comes. As a result its "Nas gotta do this, Nas gotta do that." Nas gotta do a song with producer x that hasn't made a fire beat in 10 years. Nas gotta rap about that army jacket lining. Nas gotta stop his unprecedented and arguably strongest 4-album run of his career.

shyt is exhausting.

Man STFU! Your goofy ass ain’t intelligent enough to be on his team or any team that’s worthy of anything. You nyggas think bc he did a song with Metro for a sound track that warrants him abandoning Hitboy all together. PLEASE CONTINUE TO BE APART OF THE DUMB ASS COLI TEAM THAT HASNT A CLUE ABOUT SHYT! YOU TURNCOAT BYTCHES ARE TRULY LOST IN THE SAUCE. YALL DONT SUPPORT NO DAMN WAY.

Thats bullshyt

None of the four albums Nas and Hit Boy have done have sounded the same. Whatever you want to say about those albums, playing it “safe” damn sure ain’t one of them.

Without Hit Boy we don’t get The Firm reunion

Without Hit Boy we don’t get the first Lauryn Hill/Nas rapping track

Without Hit Boy we don’t get Magic

If your a Nas fan, you should be thanking GOD for Nas’s decision to work with Hit Boy. And if their collaborations are still inspiring him to drop a FIFTH album in four years then we shouldn’t be rooting for Nas to hop off the Hit Boy train anytime soon.

Maybe I’m just different. No matter how good the albums are, I don’t think Nas/Hit boy collabs are the peak of NAS career :manny:

It ain't about wanting to hear Nas go back to Premo and Extra P....them dudes have been washed for years.

It's about Hitboy mid ass beats...them lame ass poor man's 9th Wonder soul loops with tinny weak drums. Poor melodies....everything midtempo.

I know some of the Nas stans on this site are fighting for their life to try and convince people he's some tier 1 great producer....but the shyt is clearly not true :mjlol:

His beats sound alright on the first couple of listens but the more you hear them you realize how hollow his production is.

Let's not pretend that Hitboy's beats are so next level and boundary pushing that people can't understand the brave new soundscapes Nas is rappin' on....they're some offbrand Roc-a-Fella era beats you'd hear on a Young Gunz album.
Facts….none of that shyt has any replay value

Just like when Hit Boy dropped a project without Nas that yall let come and go?
He been doing. That I don't want to hear him rap that often. I also didn't listen to him and his dads album. That has no bearing on this conversation. We talking about Nas and producers we want to hear Nas over. Hit is still getting listens over Preemo and anticipation over him as well. It's reality not a knock. Everyone has their time.
