Yeah, I'm somewhat feeling that. I said earlier that it sounds like a chill 90's single. Ionno if flys well as a single in today's standards, but I like the song and I'm feeling it more and more with each listen.

Song would be the perfect single for the summer.....

Summer on Smash needs to be a single before any other track if NaS wants some numbers. Its a great summer anthem. One of the better commercial tracks nas ever made.

I only had to remove 3 songs off of this release to make it classic. The mary j blige song, nasty and the don. Perfecto.

Even if I wasn't agree with you, I was hearing your argument until you talked about Yeezy. Then I just shook my head and stopped reading since you just sabotaged your got damn self :comeon: :what:

And seriously what's up with comparing miles davis to nas. It's like try to compare aretha franklin with louis armstrong, phil spector with barbara streisand. There are nothing to compare, it's not the same genra, not the same era, not the same job, not the same carreer and not the same context. Bullshyt

I never said Nas WAS Lennon/Gaye/Davis. I said of his respective genre.

I think when they look back a hundred years from now on music, Kind of Blue will be looked back as a definitive jazz album as Illmatic will represent hip hop. And LIG has helped Nas' legacy towards that.

I don't understand what's so hyperbolic or hard to believe about this.

Cherry Wine and Summer on Smash could get radio play, that's probably it.

This is is his best album since God's Son to me.

Can't believe he made "Trust" an iTunes exclusive :beli:

Still getting the deluxe on Tuesday though.

Album is terrific.

the 3rd verse on that song gives me chills. Like a great soundtrack to Scarface the movie for the scenes where Tony is flossing the hardest as he reaches the top before the craziness.,

never really bothered with album discussion threads but since its Nas.
eve though it's not the same as when you used to get hype for a cd only couple of artists still get me pretty hyped and that's Jay, Kanye, Cam and this man Nas.

after letting it marinate...great album.
of the main 14 track album the only track I really don't fukk with like that is the Anthony Hamilton joint... nothing to do with what Nas was spitting the beats and hook kind of just turn it into a skipable.. The rest is great.

Black Bond and Trust could've made it on the main track listing instead of just on the bonus tracks for the deluxe.
