Taylor Swift new album is coming Oct. 21 so Nas better release KD3 before that cause she's gonna hijack the top of the charts for weeks probably at least til the end of the year, every other album will just be fighting for the #2 spot.

Well....no August Escobar Season this year. It's all good. NaS and Hit-Boy can take their time. They've given us 3 LP's in 2 years. I have been listening to "Beat Breaks" the last month and a half. My theory is with "Magic" coming out in such a surprise fashion, it might have pushed "KD III" back from the Summer Slot. Based on NaS's history, He dropped "The Lost Tapes" in Sept and "The Firm" album in Oct. Most of his albums come out in Nov, Dec, Apr, July and now August. Dec has had his most releases. Now he's going on Tour with Wu. I figured it would be out before then so he could perform the new songs. But maybe he's waiting until after the tour so that would put the release Oct/Nov/Dec time frame which NaS has released many albums during that time. As for any Grammy consideration. They can submit "Magic" this year and let KDIII go for the awards next year. Again if he drops September, great but right now again he's about to go on Tour which ends early Oct. So Oct-Nov-Dec is what I'm looking for. Obviously If nothing comes then it's 2023.

Yeh most of Magic would have been on KD3 had they not released Magic so naturally gave them a shorter time span you can imagine to put together KD3. And both Nas/ Hit Boy clearly have been a bit more active with other stuff (Nas in Europe for some time, Hit Boy working on other stuff) so makes sense they needed bit more time to put together KD3

I think Magic was something that just came together organically and they put it out as Nas said "to feed the buzz". Seems like it was a project that was always going to be independent of the King's Disease series and was more of its own thing. He kind of hinted at it when he spoke on KD3 before Magic even dropped. Like Magic probably didn't sound like anything they'd done for KD3 or anything else in the KD series, so they just let it be its own thing.

Would anyone who attended the Nas and Wu-Tang Clan concert this evening (Tuesday, August 30) let me know what songs Nas performed? I am especially interested in what songs he performed from King's Disease I, II, and Magic. Anybody who has any information on what songs Nas performed would be appreciated!!!

The KingsEsco account has footage of him performing Wu For The Children, Stillmatic Intro, Made You Look, Nas Is Like, and Hate Me Now. They also said he performed Your Da Man.

The NasBookClub fan account on IG has footage of him performing Verbal Intercourse alongside Ghost and Raekwon and Affirmative Action.

Thank you guys for your help. There is a website called www.setlist.fm that posts sets from concerts and they have posted one from the August 30 concert (Nas Setlist at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre, Maryland Heights). The odd thing about the set list is that Nas performs only 1 song from King's Disease II (Rare) and 0 songs from King's Disease I and Magic. Can this be the actual set list that he will be performing for the subsequent concerts (I will be seeing him in Hartford, Connecticut on September 9)?

  1. Get Down
  2. Got Ur Self a Gun
  3. It Ain't Hard to Tell
  4. The World Is Yours
  5. N.Y. State of Mind
  6. Phone Tap
    (The Firm song)
  7. You're Da Man
  8. Eye for an Eye (Your Beef Is Mines)
    (Mobb Deep cover) (with Raekwon)
  9. Live at the Barbeque
    (Main Source cover)
  10. It's Mine
    (Mobb Deep cover)
  11. Rare
  12. Affirmative Action
  13. Hate Me Now
  14. Nas Is Like
  15. Made You Look
  16. If I Ruled the World (Imagine That)

Thanks, but I had to stop reading...going to see them on Sunday and want to be surprised. He could switch it up on different nights/cities though. If I get Verbal Intercourse with Ghost & Rae :blessed:
