Never agreed with that sentiment. You add bangers on every album unless you're doing some left shyt. Premo did Boom and Goldyn Chyld in 2002...you wouldn't put either on that album in replace of Zone Out or Warrior's Song? Obviously that album is dope as is, I'm just saying I'm not turning down classic tracks because my album is "somber" and I only want one street joint. Hell no lol. Stack those tracks. Outside of hits, they're the ones people remember 20 years later.

It's a hypothetical.

1) We don't even know if Premo would even make those for Nas in 2002. Would it even make the cut considering Nas cut several songs from God's Son because he was going after other artists by name on those songs. "Boom" came out before Stillmatic was released. I think the Ras Kass track did too.

2) There is a reason why God's Son is sequenced the way it is. I don't think it was coincidental that none of the Illmatic producers had a beat on that album. I think he purposely went in with the "I'm moving forward never backwards" mentality when he made that album because it is completely different from any album he did before it.

The more I think about it, I don't really see Premo helping Street's Disciple a whole lot either. It's a double album, so of course there's filler. It would have needed multiple Premo productions.

Yeah, some dudes treat Nas like some clown whose work should be pimped out to their producer of choice.

It'll never end. His next album can be with Alchemist, and the convo will turn to "we want Large Pro next." The Large Pro album drops, and then it'll be "Havoc next!"

It's ridiculous. Lol at "Hitboy-fatigue". I've never heard the term "producer X-fatigue" used for any other rapper.

This.

Even if he doesn't work with Hit Boy for whatever is next, it's not like there's a guarantee Nas is going to work with any of our favorite producer. Wasn't there some info that said he wanted to work with Metro or Mike Will next. Either way, this album is still too new to think about next. I was still listening to KD2 when Magic dropped. There's songs from KD2 and Magic that I was bumping when KD3 dropped.

This happens in every Nas thread the pages are 138 of course people are going to deviate and start talking about other stuff only so much you can talk about an album however good it is, no need to take everything so serious.

I really wish Nas was the type of artist that got on social media platforms and told some of y’all “”FUKK YOU & YOUR OPINION!”

Some of y’all complain about everything this man does as an artist.

“HE WORKING WITH HB TOO MUCH.” “HE SHOULD WORK WITH ALC, PREM, HAV. ect.”
“HE RAPPING ABOUT THE SAME SUBJECT.”
“I’M TIRED OF NAS & HITBOY.”
“NAS SHOULD DO THIS, NAS SHOULD DO THAT.”
“SO & SO PRODUCERS WOULD HAVE IMPROVED THIS ALBUM MADE OVER 20 YRS AGO.” 😂😂😂😂😂

Most of this shyt y’all saying up here is not even a fukking reasonable opinion. It’s just sounds like y’all truly want to complain and make up bullshyt. 4 fukking albums in 2 yrs! No artist is perfect but damn no other artist receives this type of scrutiny from his fan base & haters alike. Shyt at this point Nas can’t tell y’all so called fans from the motherfukers that hate everything he does.

I guess when you truly the GOAT this type of bullshyt comes with the territory.

If this shyt don’t apply to you don’t take it personal.

The woman who works for Nas camp threw Metro’s name out in a “nudge wink” type of way. If I remember correctly Mike Will himself said he’s got songs with Nas and Mike Will is an official part of the Hip Hop Is 50 collab EP’s.

man, over the years it seems every producer has a major nudge wink moment with Nas. Hit Boy didn't and he drops 4 entire projects for Nas. I learned to stop believing any winks surrounding any Nas project until I see it.

I’m not saying I believe anything i’m just passing the info.

I’m perfectly happy with the Nas/Hit-Boy partnership continuing for as long as they deem it creatively fulfilling

How about not complaining about shyt and if you gone to deviate from the topic of Nas giving his fans and the culture 4 dope albums in 2 yrs at least talk about what you appreciate about Nas.

Talk about what Nas is doing to celebrate 50 yrs of hip hop. How about advocating for another music video bc KD3 is full of visuals y’all would like to see. How about advocating for Nas to interact more with fans. Talk about how Nas being a 30 yr vet in hip hop and how his musical run is unprecedented. But no some of y’all make the conscious choice to express your dislike and nitpick about who produces his album and the topics he speaks about on his album. It shouts lack of appreciation, it’s rude and it’s fukking disrespectful.

By the way the shyt discussed on this thread is serious bc words are powerful and when his so called fans can only find fault in his present and past work as a deviation of conversation from his present art that shyt should be taken seriously.

As Nas has told y’all he sees and hears all things from haters and fans. It is disheartening for an artist to give his audience what they ask for at different stages and albums released throughout his career and all he receives is complaints as a result.

Thankfully, his God given talent and respect for the culture is what keeps him wanting to give back to the art form that has given him so much.

WITH LOVE IS HOW NAS IS MOVING!

What video y’all think is coming next??no lie Michael and Quincy is one of the best pure rap songs I’ve heard in a while.
I want Thun with Patina Miller aka Raq from Raising Kanan in it with him. She has to be dressed as Raq tho. My vision for it is a hype video like Hate Me Now.. One of the scenes has to be in Starlets because he shouted it out.

"Michael & Quincy" is possibly my favorite song on the album, so it was cool to see the video. Any of these songs would make a dope video really.
