Now I know why Get Light's beat reminded me so much of 93 Til Infinity - it came from a sample pack clearly trying to imitate the Til Infinity sample :pachaha:

Man I been trying to find that sample for a while because I know heard it and tried to flip it. Normally with sample packs you can tell they're not from an actual song. They're like diet or imitation samples and are way too clean and sterile. When people say there's something missing in Hit Boy's production it's usually them noticing that difference. I see he started using better packs made by better musicians.

That pack is royalty free so a smart move on the business end.

No funny shyt, I was thinking the other day. You know how in movies/tv/books there’s this character that was prophesies as The One.

I think we are living in one of those moments. 49 years young. Changed everything in 94 and is now in another prime of his career. This dude is the complete embodiment of this culture and the love for it and it’s history.

He’s the example. The pinnacle of what hip-hop is, what it represents, what can be accomplished through it…it’s been beautiful seeing my favorite artist at every stage, still being the greatest 30 years in.

The only MC I ever wanna be compared to

I played one song today and had to throw the whole album on. If you seen a civic bumping KD3 in the midtown tunnel today that was me

Y'all not going to agree with me on this but the
way Nas was floating on Reminisce when the
drill beat kicked in and how crazy the beat sounded.
I'm sorry but I would've extended the drill part
for another song possibly a remix and threw Ice Spice on it lol
and I'm dead serious about that. Nas would've had to write her verse tho.
That song would shut NY radio down.

Yup. Now it makes sense. Hit's production got the same feel as those premade melodies that came on every Casio keyboard back in the day.
