Was JUST listening to this song thinking the same thing. I gotta give Hit credit for giving a modern IWW vibe, and then slapping us with that beat change.

The whole run of Thun, Michael & Quincy, 30, and Hood2Hood is like a perfect take on modern mafioso. Hood2Hood gave me Scarface theme song vibes. Hit was in a zone coming up with these, and Nas somehow found another wind not sounding like someone about to turn 50 :blessed:
:ohhh:Now that you mention it… Kind of gives that Scarface, Miami in the 80s vibe… Like Push It by Ross.

:mjcry: No water, we barely bathed, there better be better days on the way, that’s on my daddy grave.

Wanted to hear him rap over the other sample in "Thun"

Jay and Bleek killed that like 20 years ago

I still think the production is lacking on most of these recent products, and Nas is my favorite rapper, I keep a copy of It Was Written on my dresser

What's the sample on Hood2Hood? I thought it may be an older Nas song from like 10 years ago. It's like a retrospective track, similar to this.

edit: it's Freeway, from Free At Last, 2007, the intro track

damn I love when I can do that in under a minute
